got some things going at Freecycle, i have kept front room decent this week and last, bathroom is staying cleaned (by me of course LOL), hubby and i r tag-teaming the dishes BUT (there's always a but aint there?) dining room is awful, bedroom is a disaster, basement is flooded so no laundry in 2 wks and now den has got 4 new ceiling fans, laundry and extra tv/end table cluttering it up!

what's that saying? i'm dancing as fast as i can! LOL!

Hi, sorry to hear about your basement - that certainly would throw a wrench into the works. Consider any progress good progress, though. I spent maybe three hours clearing off the my kitchen table, which I also use as a kind of desk, some weeks back. Now it's back to where I started. Funny how that happens. I think what's going wrong is that the stuff on the table doesn't really have a "home" to be put away to - I need to grit my teeth and make some decisions/sort stuff and make sure I keep an eye on it. Likewise, I have left dishes in the sink for just one day, only to find it stretch into three days - and then it's (a) gross (even though I always rinse dishes before leaving them in the sink) and (b) a major chore, because I don't have a dishwasher. But I will keep plugging. And I say, congrats to you on what you've accomplished... it counts! - Brenda

my dining room table sounds like your kitchen table. i finally got it cleaned up on Thursday and guess what? its still clean! i got hubby to sort everything. gave him the 3 box method to use; bills, put away (has to have a place) and throw out. he did the table in 30 mins and it took me 15 mins to do the put away box. i did set aside the bills for later. almost had it trashed again last night but i shook off the lazy's and it took me 3 mins!

Like i said in another post, we have tackled my ten year old's room last weekend.  It literally took about 40 man hours to get it into shape!  Today I need to get a few things ready for a garage sale next weekend.  If only I had a garage to store it all in!!!  My house is still an embarrasment to me and I still continue to provide childcare from my home, haven't lost any clients yet because of it, but I can tell what some of them think!!

That whole shiny faucet thingy is true   I was letting the toilet bowl marinate LOL (intestinal bug ya know ) & saturated the bathroom sink in scrubbing bubbles whilst I was at it.  Yuck I didn't even realize how dull the faucet was!   I have to soak my toothbrushes in peroxide (periodontal issues ) & I think that's what dood it, the drips.  It got so nice & shiny with hardly no effort but the wipes.....scrubbing bubbles ROCK!   And it just seems to make the whole bathroom so much nicer so ya wanna keep going & get the rest up to snuff like that.....I was spinning around goin OK what else I got chrome to zap ROFL  Before I knowed it the whole bathroom was clean as could be.  I gotta say "could be" acuz methinks I will forever have laundry issues as long as I live in a place where there is no washer & dryer right in the apartment

Anyways, what I am planning on next whilst Ise on a roll (seize the decluttering fever LOL) is to get into the vanity, acuz when I was changing the TP I was like o my where did all this STUFF come from?   I got baskets like crazy from when I used to work in retail hell (celestial themed even like the room itself ) & they's all overflowing.  I stuck my head in & eyeballed it & went nope this won't do acuz there is stuff in there that I prolly haven't touched since I moved here 3 yrs ago which means some stuff is no doubt expired.  I think I seen a facial mask peel thingy from the 70s ROFL

So that is Greeny's Sunday evening....Ise gonna purge (groups is rather dull today so that helps )
