It occurred to me that these P/N are an "emotional cancer". The way to get rid of them is to cut them out of your life, liike a physical cancer. Sometimes, an organ has to be sacrificed. In physical cancers. . . it's a breast or lung, in "emotional cancers" . . it's a part of your heart.

Sadly, you are right. "Emotional cancer" would be very applicable to P/Ns.  Some are easier to cut out than others.  I believe that some us are having to go through "chemo" and "radiation" as well as surgery.  It hurts a lot when the heart is involved. Even if the "surgery" is successful, you  are left wondering if the "cancer" will return.
