my 14 yr old p/n son has been talking to me in such a shameful way, for so long  be cause we  were trying 'the ignore it and it won't be fun for him anymore bit. it didn't work and we were so worn down it just (can you believe ?!) became normal. not today.he was given his choice follow the rule be respectful or get the____ out. his mouth was that bad, plus today he brandished a studded belt at me and said move or else and he picked up a broom a few minutes later and told me that i had 5 seconds to get out of his way. he was mad because i insisted he fork over the belt that he implied he'd use on me.God is the King-i didn't yell once i just navigated my way through a very familiar situation. my husband let him know in VERY simple terms what the rules are:1. follow instructions 2. use his mouth respectfully. i guess he forgot because he tested me with more shameful talk to me. i slapped the snot out of him. you'd have thought martians had landed right ther in the livivg room. i'm not recomending this-y'all do what works or keep looking for something that does,God bles us all. if he doesn't/can't love us fine, but he he canmemorize what certain words bring for him. today was his warning. tomorrow if he so much as stands in my way on purpose i'm calling 911 belrose777

Anytime he threatens you in any way at all with words or actions, you should be calling 911. Eventually they will put him in a group home or detention center where he belongs.  They really will Belrose, you just have to let them know a few times what he is doing.  They HAVE to protect you

I deleted my message due to typos. You may be interested in checking out your local mental health association for coping tips.

I am somewhat shocked to learn about his he brandished a studded belt at me and said move or else and he picked up a broom a few minutes later and told me that i had 5 seconds to get out of his way

and you write...

i slapped the snot out of him.

I hope you get to the local mental health association and learn some techniques for handling this child that doesn't involve physical abuse on your part. You see, I've read way too many messages where, the child, with a show of bruises, reports his parents) to Child Protective Services. I'm sure you can figure out the rest...

Take Care
