Having major trouble being serious about health care. I was pretty good for the first few years then kaboom. Just can't deal with it anymore. Feel like giving up completely. I am a type two and was put on meds about 2-3 years ago but forget to take them or don't have them with me. What can i do to change how i feel about everything. And those darn jelly beans are calling me (i only eat them at easter) I have started buying them now like it is nothing. One more thing does type 2 make you nervous. I am nervous as a long tailed cat in a room full of rocking chairs. Can't stand to be around people very much. This even affect church attendance. I just can't sit anymore and sounds drive me nuts. Thanks for listening

Hi I am Jan. I am pretty new to all this too.You might feel nervous because your blood sugar is too high. I noticed that since I have gotten my numbers down I am less nervous.what medicine are you on? I am on metformin (4 pills a day).

Hi sportsmom,
I was just dianosed with type 2 last month, let me tell you, I am not a happy camper about it. I think that being agitated is part of the disease, I know that I do not have the patience I did have.
Better back off those jelly beans, they are nothing but pure sugar, that alone will send your blood sugar way up, and cause those symtoms to return, extreme irritablelity is a symptom of the disease.

Best person thou to talk about this is your Doctor, he can maybe try a different medicine with you. , also, to help you remember to take your meds, a small alarm clock helps a bunch, you say you take them 4 times a day, that is every 6 hours...set your alarm to go off  at the times that you need to take the meds.

best of luck to you
Prango.

Hi Sportsmom!

I haven't posted on here for a very long time,
but your post got to me.
I understand how you feel, as I am doing the similar
type of behaviour.
It seems I  HAVE to eat what I shouldn't!
Anything with wheat in it makes my blood sugars soar!
So what do I do?  I eat chips, bread, cake, and have gone
out of control.  For a long time I was doing great and now
it is like I am on self-destruct.  It really scares me, but
it doesn't seem to make me stop.
Maybe we can encourage each other?  I have felt like
giving up too.
I am type 2, on metformin.
I crave fruit, but again, it sends my sugars out of control.
