Downunder in New Zealand ,1st day of September - the official day of Spring
we thought we had the loveliest Spring weather, well ,for a week or so,
but then we got all that horrible stormy weather from Australia .
On our side of the North Island [on the east coast ] we got high temps
and some rain overnight and sometimes during the day .
So much for springtime and no heavy rain !
All my freesias are out and the daffies have done their displaying .
and tulips are already out in some gardens but not mine as yet.
So with spring still in our minds we are hoping for a lovely weekend
and able to do the winter catchup of weeding .
I feel sorry for the Northlanders ,they have both rain and thunder too.
Down in the South Island @ the very bottom- in Milford Sound
they are having a lot of very heavy rain and it may go on for a while yet ,
funny thing is it reaches the mts and then freezes .
so the snow resorts are doing well out of that . eg: Mt Cook /Aorangi and also Queenstown
which is very popular with the snow bunnies.
They even have whitebait ...... but not me .. I went for the seasonal Asparagus today,
Yummy.
