Nope, not literally -- but I've seen it on TV that you shouldn't breath into their mouths anymore, just do the compressions -- is that right Joan? Karen |

I know the heimlic m.& what to do for a drowning victim.But I've never had to practice it.I'd probably break ribs with the H.M. |

Yes I have worked most of my life with Mentally Changlled kids and adults and also did Hospich....... Thank God I have never had to use it..... |

It has been determined that compressions only will circulate enough oxygenated blood to effectively recover a victim. I think the guidelines for CPR were so intricate that it intimidated people to even try.... where a life may have been saved. Rescue breathing is still used in some cases..eg: drowning victims. |

Yes, I do. We had the opportunity to go through training at the school I teach at, so I took advantage of it. I can also use a defiblerator (not sure about that spelling) |
