I decided to do one of my bathrooms and put a fresh coat of paint on it instead of the old wallpaper. I have used vinegar and hot water, Dif which is recommended by Home Depot and everything is so slow coming off still. It is a vinyl wallpaper. I have part of one wall off but lots to go still. Anything work for you?
You can rent a wallpaper steamer from a hardware store and they work really well. They are like a huge steam iron and you just hold it against a section of wallpaper for a minute and the heat and steam soften the glue.A lot of my friends have painted over wallpaper that is really stuck on,but of course you have to prime it first.I hope this helps, peeling uncoperative wallpaper is such a pain!!! Good luck.Hugs,Diane
They have some sort of thing that scratches the wall paper (gently of course). It leaves little holes in the paper making it easier to come off when it's sprayed with water.
Thanks for the tips. I have a Wagner steamer for removing wallpaper and had forgotten about it. Duh me!! LOL! I am trying it out and boy is my hair curling! A very hot job but it is loosening things. I did part of the wall and had to quit because it was so hot.
Karma- I have that to, its called a scorer I believe. Its kind of fun to use to. LOL! I have to look for fun in what I do when I hate doing it.
