Hi! I am trying, rather late in my years to establish a family tree to leave for my daughter. Thanks to the help of a relative on my mothers side I am able to go back 200 years [1806] on the maternal branch. However, I have hit a solid brick wall on my fathers side, I have been unable to find out where he was born, let alone any relations. One of my two sisters has told me that our mother told her he was born in Ireland, but what part or even if it is true I have no idea, but I have scanned the English records that are on line without any joy. According to his death records he died in the Bracknell district of Berkshire in the July/September quarter 1977. [My parents were separated, we didn't know about his demise] They were married at Eton Berkshire in the April/June quarter in 1934, [I was born in June of that year??] We lived in Berkshire all my young life, but we did move around a lot, he worked on farms as a carter but couldn't seem to settle. The death list shows his birthdate as 17. November 1899, but I have no other confirmation of this date. The only relative I ever heard him talk about was an Aunt Kitty [mine, not his] who lived in Tombridge Wells Kent, but we never met or heard from anyone on his side of the family. The only other thing I do know is that he served in the British Army [WWII] and was wounded in his side. I believe his regiment was the Royal Horse Artillary, and I think he also served in India for some time, going by his birth date that would obviously be after the war.
Apologies for being so vague, but that is all I know about him, and I would appreciate any help that I can get. I don't mind doing the work, if someone can point me in the right direction

Many many thanks Arty717
