Hi I would love to receive any information about my greatgreat grandfather MOSES MULHOLLAND and his wife Catherine McMinn.  What I do know is that they did live for a while in Dungannon Ireland as my greatgrandmother Margaret was born there in 1860.  They had at least 6 children and they came to Australia on the Ocean Empress in 1862 arriving in Sydney.

I believe MOSES's father may have been MOSES and his wife name maybe LETITIA, who stayed in Ireland.  I also suspect that a relative may have came across to Australia earlier and helped pay for their passage to this country.  Any help will be greatly appreciated.

CATHERINE McMINN's fathers name was James and that is the limit of information that I have on her.
They were married November 5 1847 in Carland Tyrone Ireland..
Cheers
Colleen

Thanks Mike for all this wonderful information - the gravestone records opens up a couple of questions such as where was his family, why didn't they erect a monument, and who was this Charles Hurst?  But I am pretty sure he is one of mine. Thanks once again Mike you certainly can work miracles.

Cheers

There is an obvious link with Ewarts and Hurst I found a record of a Charles Hurst Marriage to a Mary. Now to be honest she could have been a Ewart or a Mulholland. My betting is on Mulholland.Because of Moses. This would be the First moses As this Anna was Born 1812.

Hi Mike What has me confounded is not only why this Captain EWART is buried with Moses Mulholland snr but where is his wife Letitia nee Kithcart I can find no reference to her whatsoever and where is Moses Mulholland's wife Catherine nee McMinn, I cannot find her here in Australia there is no sign of her on the passenger list coming to Australia nor any death notices in our country and yet I cannot locate any death's for either these two women in Ireland.

Any clues.

Cheers

The guy who put up the headstone could well have been a friend. It looks like the headstone was added after ewart Died
