Does anyone on this site know if there is a database in England of immigrants from London to Australia

What I am looking for is a record on the ship "Caroline" which left London and went via Plymouth and ended up in Port Adelaide in south australia in 1849
The passengers name was a T. PAYNE
I was looking for info on his christian name and any other info on him which may be on an index
He is listed here in south australia as a steerage passenger with just his name T PAYNE - no age or other info
Hoping someone will know if I can get any records from the english end for this person
Liz

Mike & Marian,   Thanks for these sites - they are the ones that I use regularly when I get queries on SA immigrants.
Some of our immigrants who were steerage passengers didn't even get their names recorded so I suppose we are lucky to get this one
The lady Diane Cummings who set up the immigrant ships site transcribed them all from shipping records and newspapers of the time so it was a mammoth task and I just love her site.  She also has put out a CD as well
A lot of south australian record are missing as in the early days they didn't seem to care about recording things and I think they were so busy trying to survive in the harsh environment they didn't worry about writing things down.
Thanks for checking for me - Mike I checked out the first two sites with no success.
Liz
