Hi Mary, Is this your Joseph Paul? If so I find him and Elizabeth  in the 1910-1930 census for Manhattan , New York. Elizabeth and Joseph are living with her brother in the 1900  census.   I haven't had the time as yet to look at the original census images.. You will now find this thread on last name PAUL first name Joseph.

 

Do you think that the Paul family living in New York City is your  family?

If you believe this is the correct family, I will try to follow them for you.

yes it is the family of Joseph Paul in New York. which I did have previous information on. However my main quest is where Joseph was from in Dublin area he was born 1867. but the only Joseph Paul who fits the bill was a foundling found on the steps of St Pauls Arran Quay Dublin.
