Good Morning Friends...TGIF!

Hope that you all had a good week. We're expecting a 46 degree morning low. This has been a great week and a great month weather wise. Sunny skies are in store for today with a high of 76 degrees.

Today I will maybe get the curtains in the living room washed, dried and put back up. Trying to also get some furniture rearranged. I have a few ideas so we'll get to that early so that should keep us busy.

 My thoughts and prayers are with all of  our friends that are in need special prayer due to family or personal  illness & also with our troops. May the Lord bring healing to you.

Have an great day and weekend!

~ Daily Scripture ~

Give ear, O LORD, unto my prayer; and attend to the voice of my supplications. In the day of my trouble I will call upon thee: for thou wilt answer me.

Psalm 86: 6, 7

I made it and everyone raved about it...

Warm Caramel Apple Cake

~~~Cake~~~
1/2 cup butter or margarine
1/4 cup whipping cream
1 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup chopped pecans
2 large cooking apples, peeled, cored and thinly sliced (about 2-1/3 cups)
1 box Betty Crocker® SuperMoist® yellow cake mix
1-1/4 cups water
1/3 cup vegetable oil
3 eggs
1/4 tsp. apple pie spice
Topping:
2/3 cup Betty Crocker® Whipped fluffy white frosting (from 12 oz. container)
/2 cup frozen whipped topping, thawed
Caramel topping, if desired
Preheat oven to 350° F.
In 1 quart heavy sauce pan, cook butter, whipping cream and brown sugar over low heat, stirring occasionally, just until butter is melted. Pour into 9" x 13" baking pan. Sprinkle with pecans; top with sliced apples. In large bowl, beat cake mix, water, oil, eggs and apple pie spice with electric mixer on low speed until moistened. Beat on medium speed 2 minutes. Carefully spoon batter over apple mixture. Bake 40 to 45 minutes or until toothpick inserted near center comes out clean. Cool in pan 10 minutes. Loosen sides of cake from pan. Place heatproof serving platter upside down on pan; carefully turn platter and pan over. Let pan remain over cake about minute so caramel can drizzle over cake. Remove pan. In small bowl, mix frosting and whipped topping. Serve warm cake topped with frosting mixture and drizzled with caramel topping.
The recipe for the day (Chicken stuffing casserole) sounds really
yummy, I will definitely be giving that a try when I bring
Good Morning,
It is hardly daylight, I've been awake for a couple hours so decided I may as well get up, I was ready for bed by 8 last night but managed to stay up til
9:30, hopefully I'll get used to this time change pretty soon, odd how just one hour can mess one up like this.
I'm sitting here drinking my cup of tea, Pookie is still back in the bed room in her bed, --good-- not ready for a walk this early.
We're having dinner at church tonight so that means some yummy  food.
Haven't been anywhere since last Sunday so no news to speak of, did some piddly jobs I've been putting off, started some mending last night, a job I hate. I have 4 pr. of slacks to hem and I have been putting that off for months. just may get it done this weekend.?????????
Have a good day and a better weekend. Hugs Betty
Good Morning Everyone,
I hope that all of you who have not been feeling well are much better this morning.
I'm trying to get our Tried and True Recipes moved to the new site, so I'll make this short.
I keep finding new things there that are so much better than they are here and I think you are going to be pleasantly surprised at how easy this move is going to be...thanks to Kitabell.  She has worked her heart out getting it ready for all of us.
Have a good Friday and weekend.
Hugs,
Genie
Hello Friends.
What a difference a day makes. It is still cold and some wind, but nothing like yesterday. We have electricity at work, but it has been flickering since last night at home. Not good on appliances, etc.
Near Amanda they had over 4 feet of snow and 20 foot drifts. Unreal!
This afternoon we will continue painting. Kate and Rick helped me after work yesterday. Hopefully this weekend will be the end of it. Yeah!
May cook myself a steak tonight as I will be the only one home. We had soup from a soup supper in town last night.
Have a great day.
Hugs
Morning all,
56 Degrees in the Denver area today.  At least that wind has let up.   Incredible amounts of snow up there in South Dakota Kelly!    Hope this isn't a hint of what's to come here this winter!
Spent the day on the couch yesterday w/ my tissues.  I think I'll live, but sure am stuffed up and coughing.  Need to get to the grocery store for the makings for hubby's birthday dinner tomorrow.  I'm thinking we may have to put it off a day but we'll see.
Showing Purple to support the memory of Sunny's dear Son-in-law who passed last year from Pancreatic Cancer.
Hope you all have a good day.
Kay
