| Jodi G. of St. Louis, Missouri, had an experience she'll never forget. "It happened in 1985, several days after Christmas. We were driving back from the store. My mom was driving and my little three-year-old sister, Tammy, and I were in the back seat. The rear car door on the right passenger's side had one of those automatic locks that never worked. But for some reason, this time it did work, and it almost killed my little sister! "Tammy started fidgeting. She was pouting, upset over something we can't even remember. Anyway, she reached over and opened the car door while the car was moving. As she started to fall out, I dove over toward her. " 'N0!' yelled my mom suddenly. My mom turned back, and with some kind of superhuman strength and agility I'll never forget, managed to grab both me and little Tammy back from falling out the door. "But as she turned, her foot hit the accelerator pedal, speeding the car up to about 80 miles per hour. "When she turned back to take control of the steering wheel again, we almost veered off the shoulder of the road and missed crashing into the guard rail by only inches. The car bounced back on the highway like a rocket shooting into the sky. "We were praying, praying like we never have before in all our lives. Before we realized it, mom had slowed down and we were driving down the highway at a normal clip. "My foot," she said, choking back the tears. 'I felt something grab hold of my foot and take it off the accelerator pedal." she said. "'It's your Christmas angel, Mom,' I told her. "To this day, we remember our Christmas miracle.
