Candle Magick

When choosing  a candle for a particular spell, you must first choose the approprate color. You must also make sure the candle is an unused one. Below is a list of a few colors and what they represent.

White-peace, spirituality

Yellow-imagination, intellect, creativity, memory

Gold-attract power of cosmic influences

Orange-ambition, career matters

Pink-affection, romance, love

Red-health, energy, strength, sexual potency, courage

Purple-material wealth, spiritual power, higher psychic ability

Green-fertility, good luck, harmony

Blue-inspiration, psychic wisdom, protection, devotion

Silver-clairvoyance, astral energy, intuition

Brown-find lost objects,protection of familiars and pets, telepathy

Grey-neutralize negative forces, influences

Black-mediation rituals, banishishment

Next, after choosing your own candle, you must dress it with oil before burning it. Now, it is best to use natural oils such as myrh, but you can use the exotic-named oils in new age stores or  use your own creations. The reason for dressing the candle is so that a psychic link is created between you and the candle. Thats why it is important not use a previously burned or used candle. There is a residue, so to speak, of the person who last cast a spell with it and the spell itself.

Okay, you dress the candle by first rubbing the oil into the candle from top down to the middle (in other words, you move your finger from the top of the candle to the middle of the candle in a straight line)and continue this process until you are all the way around the top half of the candle. Next, you move your finger from the bottom up to the middle in a straight stroke until you make your way all around the candle.

After the candle has been dressed, you take a piece of  unused paper (can be same color as candle, but doesn't have to be)and inscribe your wish or dream on the paper while, at the same time, visualizing your dream  or wish coming true.

Now, you fold the paper slowly, on purpose, all the while, visualizing (again) and concentrating on your wish.

After the ritual is complete, leave the candle to burn itself out. Staying with the candle is not necessary, but if you leave it, make sure that it is in a safe place and that it doesn't burn down the house.

Another way to do Candle Magick is to use the correct color candle and some Myrrh oil. You dress the candle then take a straight pin and carve your desire into the candle.
