Process For Accessing Past Life Information - Put yourself in a safe space, either a space that actually exists or one that you create in your imagination.
- Sit or lay down comfortably. Sitting is preferred if you tend to fall asleep easily.
- Starting at your feet, relax each part of your body, one part at a time. If you need assistance with this, I recommend the book “The Relaxation Response by Dr. Herbert Benson. If you meditate you can meditate instead of doing the progressive relaxation mentioned here.
- After relaxing your body, do your best to relax your mind. If thoughts come into your mind, just acknowledge them and do not judge yourself for having them.
- Call on the part of you inside of you, working for your highest good, who knows the information you are seeking and can assist you in accessing it. You do not have to see, hear or feel this part of you, just know that it is there helping you.
- Ask this inner helper to see/hear/feel/experience/know the past life with the information you are seeking (if you are looking for something specific) or for the past life that would be in your highest good to know about.
- Be your experience. This is the most difficult part for most people. Do not try to direct what you see/hear/feel/experience/know. Just allow it to unfold around you as you watch it. You may get the information in terms of clear visuals, words, or you may get it in terms of bodily sensations, symbolism, or inner flashes of knowing. Even if you get something that does not seem useful or seems like your imagination, it is valid for you anyway. Do not try to figure out what it means, as this will stop the flow of information. Just let it all happen.
- When you feel finished, be sure to thank the inner helper for her/his assistance. Ask the inner helper to help you to come back fully aware of your environment comfortably and to integrate what you have learned from your journey inside.
- Write down the information! This is especially helpful if what you received seemed vague or like it did not fit. Write it down and compare it to later journeys. You will most likely begin to notice patterns that will make sense somewhere down the road.
