Psychic: to sense, to understand and to interpret for practical purposes, a force that enters in the body, mind and/or spiritual realms without use of the 5 physical senses.

Everyone is psychic to some degree, some people are just more attuned  to that side of their mind/body/spirit connection. As you open up to these 'gifts'  the Divine forces participate in your growth to test and teach you certain lessons . When this occurs the positive forces work with us to  remove the blocks that will inhibit the progression of the "gift". When these lessons are taking place, a persons energy changes.  There many be changes or attitudes that you've long held about a particular topic. You're growing during this time, and therefore your perceptions of the world and the world's perception of you, must also grow and change.

The most important lessons to learn and understand is how ego and greed can effect the connection to these divine sources. This can bring the level of vibrational energy down and can possibly allow negative forces to 'attach' to your psychic mind, instead of the higher divine forces that provide the pure information.

Psychic Gifts
There are many types of psychic gifts but I have listed a few here and will be happy to add more as we think of them( I just know I forgot some..lol).  

Clairaudient-

(Hearing) To perceive sounds or words from a spiritual realm.

Clairempathy-

(emotion) To sense or "feel" the emotions of another person.

Clairgustance-

(Taste) To perceive the essence of a substance through taste from the spiritual realm.

Clairscent-

( Smell) To smell a fragrance or odor coming from the spirit realm.

Clairsentience-

(sensation or feeling) To perceive information by a 'feeling within the whole body".

Clairtangency-

( Touching) More commonly known as Psychometry. To handle an object or touch an area and receive information about the article or it's owner.

 Clairvoyant-

( vision) To visually perceive "within the minds eye" something existing in that realm.

Channel-

A person who allows his/her body and mind to be used as a mechanism to bring psychic information or healing energy to others.

Channeling -

To allow someone in the spirit realm to enter one's mind and impress thoughts upon the consciousness to be spoken aloud, using one's voice, or body to deliver the information or healing energy.
