This is the way I would handle it.If there is one main entrance to your kitchen/dining room area-then you might want to Feng Shui those areas as one room.On the Bagua,the career/black sector of it is what you place on the entrance area & you follow it from there.Your wealth area would then be the left top corner of room.I would print out the bagua on opening page and stand with it in your hand directly at the entrance to your room,Bagua in hand(career sector would be facing your belly when holding) and follow it that way.

  If you choose to handle it as two different rooms use the same technique,but use the main entrance to each of those rooms,and if there is only one you can just (once in entrance)face right or left to enter the room youre Feng Shui'ing and start at that point with the Bagua using the same method described above.
