Hi Big, it is so nice to hear from you. Tell me what has been going on with you when you get the time, I think of you often and have sent positive energy your way many times.
Lots has been happening with me, I was diagnosed with Inflammatory Breast Cancer and have been taking Chemo treatments for several months. Just had a modified radical mastectomy with a skin graft and am ready to get all the stitches out. Then I have to return for more Chemo starting Friday. It should all be done with by July, at least I hope so. This is a rare and very agressive form of cancer that comes on in a big hurry and spreads before you even know you have cancer. At first I thought I had a skin infection and was really shocked to learn it was cancer. The doctors are amazed at how well I have been doing and agree that my state of health was very good and my attitude is working for me. They have been continually surprised by the bad things this cancer has done, it spread to several lymph nodes and they found a few small lesions along my thoric spine, but then they found that my cancer has responded very well to Chemo and there are two other treatement options, a hormone and a drug that this cancer will respond to, as well as radiation if it is needed. They told me this never happens with this cancer, this is a first for them.
The surgery got all the cancer from the chest area and the lymph nodes were all removed, I was told there was a pathologist right there during my surgery and there is no more cancer in that location, the only thing we have left to get is the lesions along my spine, it is the middle part of the spine. It looks to me like we are going to lick this thing and from all I have been told and read, this kind of cancer does not recur once gotten rid of.
Other than that, I feel fine, I have never felt like a person with cancer, my health is very good and I have tolerated the Chemo treatments and surgery very well. The business is doing good and it appears we made the right decision (just in time too) by moving it to our property, it has made everything so much easier for me to handle than it would have been otherwise.
Please don't forget to let me know how you are doing.
