Am I such a dreamer?
I carry the burden of regret.
Through all that I seek,
Redemption is where my path is set.
I just pray when the time has come...
It won't find me weak.
Unable to drop this heavy load,
Unwilling is what I fear.
Sick how we find comfort and security,
In our nightmares and tears.
With every thought we fill our pity well.
The well is deeper than the blackness,
That has creeped in our hearts to dwell.
Settled in for the never-ending moonless night.
We search for the candles...
Which are the pen and paper we clutch,
To release the light,
Hoping for it's unravel.
Redemption is a dreamers answered prayer.
Am I such a dreamer?
That I may one day no longer regret
The mistakes of the ones...
The ones that were here before me.
