September 17, 1956 to December 7, 2003 Missy Meow 13-14 years old Misse Missy Meow watches over Dawn's computer Farewell Dear Friends As we enter into the year 2004, the world becomes darker and colder. Two of our brightest lights have gone out here, on earth. Shinning now in a better place. Leaving us cold and alone. I never heard Dawn utter a bad word about anyone and please don't tell her bad things about people, she would have none of that. She was dealt a rough hand in life, but never complained. The most she ever said was how much she missed not being able to drive. Always lighthearted and ready to cheer you up if you were down. Always there for you, always loyal to your friendship. So many of us received such please from seeing the wonderful pictures Dawn took of her Missy Meow. Certainly Missy took on a internet personality of her own. Always keeping Dawn's feet warm while she was at the keyboard. Also wanting her nightly cheese and never missing a holiday or a chance to dress up for one. Dawn and Missy were devoted to each other and Dawn was devoted to her internet friends. You will not find a kinder gentle person than Dawn. She was the light at the end of the tunnel. The gold at the end of the rainbow. She was many things to many people and she will be missed. Missy will also be missed. The stories of her antics and her life will make us smile no more. Dawn would be sorry to see such sadness at her passing. She would not want us to grieve for her or Missy. Forgive me, Dawn, you and Missy's passing has effected me greatly and the tears must flow and the heart must ache. You will be missed dear lady. Please pet Missy for me. A Memorial from Dawn's Dear Friend Amy In Memory of Dawn Marie White September 17, 1956 December 7, 2003 Dawn was such a wonderful person, There is so much we can all say about her and i don't think any of it would be bad. She was unable to have kids herself but she had one. Her cat Missy. Dawn loved any animals (but spiders) lol... That cat meant everything to her. I think she also was everything to that cat. I used to tease her cause every day that Missy got her tillamook cheese. Thats how I met Dawn . I just moved into herapt. building It was right when she started loosing her sight. Well she could not drive any more and that cat needed cheese. So i was on my way to the store and this sweet lady ask if she could ride along. We were friends from then on. What a blessing she was. My kids and husband just loved her. She had become a part of my family. Let me tell you a little bit about Dawn. She grew up in Michigan and moved here to Colorado when she was 6. She lived in Lakewood from then on. She was the youngest of 5 kids. A brother and 3 sisters. She didn't always get along with them but she sure did love her family. Dawn worked 4 u s west for over 17 years. She also was a great artist before she lost most of her sight. But even then she did so many things most people would have given up on. Dawn loved to read, she was a huge Steven King fan. She had every book he put out. Even after she couldn't see the greatest she still read all the new ones. It might have taken her awhile but she did it. As most know she liked to be on-line. Once again being legally blind didn't stop her. You know i was always forgetting she was blind. Her favorite band was Def Leopard . I was lucky enough to go see them with her this summer. She was so happy. Just like cats loved Dawn so did small kids. My daughter is only 5 but i love her way of thinking. She says Dawn and missy are in heaven now and its Dawn's job to take care of all the kitty cats. I bet thats what she is doing to. I'm not sure i can cry any more. Like so many e-mails i see passed around Lets not cry cause we lost her, Lets smile cause she was a part of our life. If you really knew Dawn you will be smiling now :) We all love you Dawn and we will always miss you.
