I am back home from the hospital since Monday 25 February. The surgery on my foot was successful but I am not able to walk yet or stand on it. After about three months the plaster will be taken off. It's hurting a lot... remembering painkillers are not sweets.
My fur babies have been well taken care of during my absence. I am so pleased to be with them again. Sluggo is purring, buffing my face over and over again as if he is telling me "Don't worry, I am here with you!"
There will be a hard period to go through till I am able to sit without any problems. My therapist has ordered for a new wheelchair because my button is worn out of the wrong and bad seat. I am really uncomfortable sitting! I will try to pop in now and then though.
So nice to see you here Bren, Maggie and Shar. We have not talked much Shar but I hope to know you soon!

Dear Maikki - Lovely to see you are managing to do some posting - that's a very good sign that you are coping well now.  My painkillers have just been changed (two every six hours) but I don't think they seem to be as helpful as the previous basic Panadol ones.  I haven't heard anything more from the Orthopaedic Surgeon - officially it could well be at least 8/9 months.  Ho hum!!!     Bren |
