I am asking for help here as FIP killed my sweet Thabita. It developed quickly and there is no way around with any treatments for cure. Once it has hit it will kill.

My question is if there is a vaccine. Does it contaminate from an individual to another. Cats sometimes do great each others by sniffing their south, sniff where other cats sprayed or rubbed their faces. Is that a potential risk? It is told indoor cats don't get infected by FIP and yet this did happen to my Thabita. Is it possible I can carry FIP with my shoes and clothes? What can I do to protect my Sluggo? Is this a question about hygiene? What have I to put my attention on?

I would be deeply grateful to any information from you members.

Maikki

hi maikki,
have u thought of using a search engine & see what it can find about FIP? there are plenty of search engines around (more than my list below).

they often bring up different results. & you may have to refine the results you get by checking their indexes.

you could even type in & check if there is such a thing as a veterinarian search engine, this would most likely get you the best results.

Thank you Carola for the helping hand. I have been wading through some sites and found some information. I also found a good site in Swedish.
