Isn't it just sad to loose a fur baby. It's hardly possible to manage.

I lost Pepsi in 2006 at the age of nearly eighteen. Frazze el Gato died in my arms about half a year later. In February 2008 FIP killed my little girl Thabita. I am still unable to believe what happened to her. FIP is such a silent killer and you are never prepared to it.

It is sooo hard when we lose our beloved furbabies.  They leave a gaping hole in our hearts when they die.

Our last one that passed away was my beloved Kleo.  She was just 8 years old and gave in to cancer.

At one point we thought she would beat it but I think it was hope taking over our heads.

We have had so many beautiful felines that have died over the years and we shall never ever forget any of them.

They have all brought us so much joy and companionship over the years.  A home would be an empty home without a kitty.  I just can't imagine that.

I noticed you have a kitty named Mineau.

We have a boy called Mineaux, who like the 5 others besides him bring us so much joy for different reasons.

So true Maggie, somedays are more difficult than others, it has been 3yrs. since my Muffin and Meagan were sent to kittykat heaven, but to me they both had the best personalities I have ever witnesed, both knew what I was saying it seems, when I would just use a one word call out to them, such as kittyCat, they both came running straight to the kitchen as they knew their soft kitty food was being offered.
another word, "treats", they would come running knowing full well it was the crunchy treats from the vet they were getting.
Mochy meant "vets milk" especially (for their arthritic bones) they had 2tbsp. of that each daily, they came to the kitchen for that.
When I said "Nanny", both would go to the top of the stairs and look down at the front door, they knew my Mother was coming soon for a visit.
I miss them all the time.

Wendy isn't it amazing how kitties learn different words and commands?  We had a Meezer who used to know over 20 commands we taught her.  I think her favourite was "Get bug bug in the window."  She would run to the front window and try to catch bugs on the outside window sill which of course she couldn't get because the screens were there.  Irv and I would take turns saying "Say goodnite to mummy or goodnite to daddy."  We would say this and she would come to us individually and make a cute little sound.  Sometimes we would do it sooo much she would finally give a sound like she was scolding us and she would curl up and go to sleep.

She was our first kitty who died in 1979 and it took me a year to get through her death without crying every time I said her name.
