i have a good recipe for cutout cookies that i would like to share ,if anyone tries it let me know how they turned out .it was my grandmothers .
1 cup or 2 sticks of margarine or butter(softened)
1 1/2 cups sifted confectioners sugar
1 egg, 1 teaspoon vanilla
2 1/2 cups sifted flour,1 tsp baking soda ,1 tsp cream of tartar,1/4 tsp salt
cream butter and sugar together util fluffy,add egg,and vanilla,beat well
blend in sifted dry ingredients to creamed mixture.
chill overnight ,preheat oven to 350 degrees
roll out quite thin on floured board add sprinkles and bake on ungreased cookie sheet until light brown . enjoy
