Grilled San Antonio Burgers
Makes 6 servings.
1-1/2 - pounds ground beef
1/2 - cup steak sauce, divided
1/3 - cup onion, chopped
1/3 - cup green chilies, chopped
6 - hamburger buns, split
Guacamole
Monterey jack or cheddar cheese, shredded
Tomato, chopped
Preheat grill to medium heat.
- In a mixing bowl, add ground beef, 1/4 cup of the steak sauce, onion and chilies.
- Shape mixture into 6 patties.
- Grill patties over medium coals for 7 to 9 minutes on each side or until cooked through.
- Occasionally brushing patties with remaining 1/4-cup steak sauce.
- Serve in buns topped with guacamole, cheese and tomato.
