Passionflower is a sedative, despite its name. Many of you have probably heard about the calming effects of chamomile for anxiety or stress. This combination is very effective, has no lingering effects like synthetic tranquilizers do, and is not addictive.
1 cup water (distilled or spring is best)
½ teaspoon dried chamomile flowers
½ teaspoon dried passionflower
Bring the water to a boil. Pour over the herbs in a cup or put the herbs in a tea ball and put it in the cup of boiling water. Steep for 10 minutes. Remove the tea ball or strain, and drink while its still hot. Add honey to taste if you like.
