Wellll, I'll tell ya, PJ...  I did a few times and found them inconvenient & think they're toxic, though they whitened, they bothered my gum tissue somewhat.  Since using them ( dammit! )  I've discovered that quitting brushing, just string flossing, then rinsing with strong salt water, makes my gums pale and tight and healthy &, if my teeth DO become a little dingy, a small ammout of plain baking soda, dissolved with a little Hydrogen Peroxide, applied with a conventional toothbrush, whitens perfectly and safely and cheaply.

I did when they first came out. It was the Crest product I want to say. It was awful tasting, messy and most inconvenient, due to the fact, you had to keep your mouth open and the appliques you applied to your teeth always felt like they were falling off from the saliva. Ohhh well... one day when I can afford it, I'll get it professionally done and see real results.

Yes PJ, I did try that. Worked pretty well too. However, IMHO, there is no true substitute for just brushing atleast once a day with a good tooth paste with whiteners. I guess once the tape type (thats what I tried anyway) has been allowed to do it's stuff, the brushing part will work even better...kinda like an ongoing maintainance thing, ya know?

I've had the custom trays (still have them actually) but I too found the ingrediants too irritating on my gums and teeth too Star.

Since I drink tea, coffee and smoke, I realize those things can show on your teeth over the years.  A couple of days ago I got a my teeth cleaned and asked the dental hygenist about them... she said I might be a good candidate for them, but only to expect a few shades lighter w/ the over the counter products.

So I got some.. guess I'll see if it works and is worth it .
