Hiya Zara,
Happy New Year to you and all Old Quantockians!
Hope you're all coping with the freezing temperatures and snow
& stuff....it's been 44.2 C in Sydney today and fires have broken
out in some places. What a contrast!
Let's hope for milder conditions all round..have a happy start to
2006 everybody.

Hi Laurie, Hi Mike,
Laurie, the program is a Sony product called "Vegas". It is a video production and sound editor and is teamed with another Sony product called "DVD Architect" which authors the DVD from MPEG-2 files which you render from image/video/audio in Vegas.It costs the equivalent of about 370 pounds here in Australia...not cheap but very flexible, powerful and a delight to use. Check out some reviews on the net and you'll get the idea.
Any assistance you need..give me a yell.

If we could get Rafael (in Venezuela) and Warwick (in OZ) to add themselves to the Quantock Map ( http://www.frappr.com/quantockschool) then we would have representation on nearly all the continents (exception of the icy ones and Africa) which would be quite nice. Seems that Firefox does work as well as IE when people try to add themselves ...

ok mike I ve been trying to add myself to the map for about a dozen times and so far I keep getting the same answer.....sorry we dont have this city registered.dont know what im doing wrong,I ll try and try until a get it right i guess

I've just had a look. I found CARACAS - but you need to select "not in the USA" option, see the link just below the "Zip Code option". Also the site doesn't seem to like the Firefox browser - the microsoft Internet Explorer seems to work well!! Give it a go and let me know if this is the problem - it would be nice to have someone from South America on the map !! all the best, Mike |
