Ah! Mark Hughes. If I remember rightly I shared a dorm with you just along from Jerry Warriners room. You had a goldfish called Bernard Alouishas.! not sure of the spelling. Died as a result of a two pence piece being tossed in the air and landing in it’s bowl. Hit poor Bernard on the head!
I also remember the screams after you had used deep heat then gone off to the loo without washing your hands! I’ll just let people imagine the scene as it is etched in my mind as one of those ?I’m sorry for laughing I know it hurts?moments. (no embarrasment intended)

Mike 'ticker' Lock, If I remember correctly I shared a 4 man dorm with you along that corridor as well. I think Gary Dean may also have been one of the other occupants! (not 100% sure on that)

Hello Richard. I remember you. We shared a dorm down by the old gym next to the showers for awhile with Toffo. I remember scolding my arm badly after using one of those highly dangerous mini boilers to make a cup of tea! Matron had to take me to hospital where they said I would be scarred for life! I didn’t realise at the time that they meant psychologically!

Just to butt in ..... but, how far back did those law-suit-in-a-cup element heaters go back, we had them still in 1990 !!! Just did a really quick Google search and couldn't find them being sold anymore ...

PS Mike - nice pics by the way - thanks for posting them - you got anymore, and are you planning on making the big reunion?

Seem to remember them carpet-burning-arm-scolding-tea-making things with too short a lead being around for quite sometime. Must be pre77. Have been toying with the idea of giving up a weekends taxi takings for a trip down memory lane. Trying to talk my brother into coming. He’s still in touch with some of his year.(CO81)

Hi Ticker, yea it was a shame about Bernard the goldfish...now i think about it was it an accident or was he murdered by that Nigerian mentalist called Basheru Sanda, remember him? So where are you living, I ended up in Torquay, it's great.
Best wishes
Mark

Hi Mark, I'm in East Hampshire, place called Whitehill 8 miles south of farnham. I remember him(bash). Nobody knew his age so they moved him around a few classes until he could speak Quantockian English. Big bugger he was!
