Do you remeber the time that Mr Coulson orgainsed a 5-a-side league.

We played once a week (Thursdays??) in the evenings.

I played for the mighty "Pilgrim Peaches" (Mr Coulson picked the sides and the Team names).
Pilgrim Peaches:
Andrew Davi(e)s aka Wog
Paul watson
Andrew Beaton
Paul Thornton (keeper)
Mike Blake
Our team was made of all specialist defenders ... we were pretty hard to beat but goal scoring came hard to us ... I remeber we were one of the few teams to nearly beat Phil Tarrs team ... I think we finished about third in the league

Come on Nerds list your team here if you remember it !!!!

Mike

Mike, I was in the 'Cheesers', who consisted of John Clifton, Adam White, possibly Jamie Hildage, myself and I can't remember the rest. Phil Tarr's team, along with Phil Nuttal, was called the 'Porkers'. I think they won it.

Both the Cheesers and the Porkers ring a bell now ....

I can believe Mr Coulson put both Phil Nuttle and Phil Tarr in the same team - arguably 2 of the best players in the school at that time - do you remeber what the rest of their team was like ... I'm beginning to think Mr Coulson was playing a experiment - ie "can 2 good players carry the whole team" - and with  my team "can a team of defenders hold on to sneak one or two nil" ... ???

Lee where abouts did the "Cheesers" place  ?
