Anyone out there who was on the trip to France in 1989 / 1990 ??  I can't remember the exact year though.  A load of us went to France one year first to do some Kayaking, swimming eating baguettes etc and then further down south to the sun, sand and getting drunk !!  Anyone remember that....I seem to remember a few people being sick on the coach...mentioning no names of course....Lee Roy, Clayton...Oops !

It was a great 10 days though.  If there is anyone out there who was on the trip please add some stories !  I have added some pics to jolt the memory !  I do remember we all had to take silly hats with us as is visible from some of the shots.  A few people got heat stroke and Steve Rowland and myself attempted to learn how to sail.....an art to this day I have yet to master !!

Cheers,

Nathan

Nathan,

I'd forgotten this trip ever happened - as I didn't go on the trip I guess it is no surprise.

However my vicious dorm mate did go - Nick Chalmers. I remember that he had a great time and did have a funny hat, but for the life of me I can't remember what it was now ... maybe seagulls shitting on himo r the old hat with drinking cups on the side ... Nick any comment ??

I think that the Date of 89 is correct as the year above me are present but no one above this Class. It is clear that all years were welcome to go on this trip due the presence of Adria Gibson and the like.

Nice photos by the way ... you have been busy !!

Do you have the main group picture of everyone at higher resolution - it be nice to see all the hats and faces better?

Who is Clayton the name rings no bells - your year ??

Mike

PS You may have noticed that I moved this message into a different folder and added a link to the photo album.

Hi Mike,

My mistake there was no Clayton....I meant John Clifton !!  Although many of the names are coming back to me after all these years I am still having a little bit of trouble.

I will put the group picture in at a higher resolution.  I had to lower it as I thought there was a limit on how much space we could take up ??  It is not a great photo anyway, but I am sure I can put a better version on.  Thanks for putting the link on as well.

Ahhhh Nick Chalmers.  He is on a few of the pictures and I could not for the life of me remember his name.  Did not know him very well.

Cheers,

Nathan.

I replced the picture of the group with a higher res version but it is still not great I'm afraid.  Still, hopefully someone else out there has a better picture they can put on.  I seem to remember that quite a few were taken.

Cheers,

Nathan.

Nathan,

Nick was and is a very good friend of mine - if you have more pictures of him and others from my year I'd be pleased to see them !!

Yes, there is a limit  on the amount of space you are given - 3MB for standard members of this site - I get 30MB. If you have some very large pictures you can send them to me - as others have already done,  although I'm gettting to be 2/3 full now. Nb To ensure that  you use the space given to you wisely, upload only 'jpg' and avoid the bigger 'bmp' files - which you did do, I noted !!

You can check in your profile somewhere how much space you have left ...
