The Research Team
Mr Paul King
<o:p></o:p>
Paul King gained a B.Ed in French and Russian from Didsbury College Manchester and joined the RAF on a University Cadetship (aircrew)
He took up residence in Portugal in 1977 after two short periods as French teacher in Midhurst and at Quantock school.
He was a TEFL teacher at the British Council in Lisbon for about 15 years. Paul was diagnosed with PD about 7 years ago and is currently
Vice-President of APDPk.
In December 2001, he married fellow Parkinsonian, Irma
from South Africa after meeting her at an EPDA conference in Prague.
He believes that the actual conduct of the Infopark project is in itself very beneficial by virtue of the fact that clinicians are seen and felt to be listening, taking note, genuinely interested, and acting on the basis of the opinions of those being interviewed. The fact that clinicians are,
in their daily practice, listening, taking note, genuinely interested
and act on the basis of what they hear, not always apparent.
