I have not been on in a while, having a 6 month old keeps me busy these days. I am checking in to let everyone know of a new treatment that I have started. I have been one of the few who has been trying to go with little to no meds, being pregnant and breast feeding has help my drive for that. But, I was doing acupuncture with some degree of help. But, I never could get passed a certain point and had to have regular treatments 2-3 times a week. A friend of mine introduced me to a acupuncturist in Costa Mesa, CA that does a new form of treatment for many chronic disorders. He was a western trained doctor, a anesthesia specialist. He blended his knowledge of both east and west techniques. He does this treatment with acupuncture and marcaine (like lidocaine) injections to acupuncture points. I am going to be brutally honest, it hurts like hell! Just a hair short of torture. But, I left his office in better shape than I have been in for more than a year!!!!!!! During the treatments I scream (yes, scream) in pain and after I walk out in a dreamy state with less pain, sensitivity and more function. He even does certain points to help with the depression and anxiety that comes with all this nonsense. Cause we all know that the pain hurts but the Fear of the Pain is just as bad. He has told me of several patients he has CURED them of RSD. Now, I am not holding my breath on this but, after what I have experienced thus far I am hopeful! I have not said that in a long time, hopeful! I am absolutely serious when I say LIFE CHANGING! Now, since I have only had a few treatments and am due for at least 6 more (once a week) I can't say if these results will continue but I will keep you all posted. I will ask at my next treatment if I can list his name and info, but he is a acupuncturist in Costa Mesa, CA and practices East and West medicine (wink, wink). Now I know this isn't for everyone but for those of you interested....email me for more info.
peace to all, -J
