Star, I am bothered by that story right along with you.  I spent the afternoon today, observing haircut after haircut by a very talented former co-worker, at his salon for free.  I wanted to brush up and hopefully learn a thing or two since I am between jobs.  I loved every second of it.....I recently quit my job last week (last Friday), I couldn't take it anymore, I was working in Title Insurance.  It was so boring and I couldn't stand one of my coworkers.  He was a monster!  So I have been very proactive in trying to a get back into the field of hair and looking for a spot in a salon.  I am in the middle of the hiring process for a salon that is in Fort Lee...called Zohair salon.....you can check it out at www.zohairsalon.com, it is going to be an hour or more commute, but I am hoping it is well worth it.

But, while I was the salon today, another stylist thought I must be an amatuer if I am voluntarily sitting through his haircuts........I thought she needs an attitude adjustment.  I think for those "who know it all"....then they should be made to teach a class or two.  It is more easily said than done, but stylists need to work as a team......and not just in the salons, but as an industry / profession!  I see so much competition / jealously/ and crappy attitudes so often.....so that's just my opinion....thanks for letting me vent alittle too.......

I really hope your managers husband beats his cancer.....my prayers are with him.......doctors are becoming more experianced with cancer so his chances are better than ever before!
