Hey Silken! I wanted to respond to your question about BHRR in your box rather than on the board. BHRR is still there, barely..... About a year ago, when it was so dead I suggested that we change some of the managers to increase activity and you would have thought I suggested that they donate a kidney to me. Others agreed with me, but there were a key few who were adamantly opposed to the idea, namely the lame managers who already exist. So I gave up after that and quit checking their site. I'll write more later! |

Hey Silken!!! Well, let's see......just a few more words about BHRR, it used to be such a wonderful room, I got so much out of it 4 years ago when I was going through a very difficult time, but it's just another dead room now. Nothing at all like it used to be. The people who started it are nowhere to be found although still on the managers list, the people who were around when you joined who rallied against you have dropped away one by one and now it's just poor hurting new people who drop in and think they are going to get comfort, which they don't because there is no one there. Well except for limping bear who is not the sympathetic type. It's dissapointing really, that they allowed catwoman to spread her hate to those of us who could actually make a difference and demolish the room in the process. Every once in a while I see someone who used to post regularly expressing dismay that the room is so empty and it annoys me greatly, because there were several of us who wanted to pick up the baton and run with it to make the room what it professes to be, but were just not allowed. So there ya have it. I've always wanted to ask you what happened to top mechanic and lady gamina but I didn't want to be nosey. Are they okay and do you think they will ever come back? As for my summer, working. That's pretty much my life. I may actually take a little time off here and there, would love to go up to colorado and such. I have a friend who is going to Canada the 18 of this month, so I've looked at all his brochures and such, I'm envious. It's beautiful. He'll be going to the south western part. He's a damn good photographer and will be taking lots of pics of the state parks and stuff. I can't wait to see his pics! Well, I must go and get ready for work my friend. I will add this, life seems evened out for me now, after about 3 years I was finally able to let go of the pain of the ultra painful breakup that we've discussed in the past and now have peace of mind. It's lovely. Now with the children growing and leaving (have only 1 left) I am looking to the future and deciding where I want to be. I'm excited. Single parenting takes a lot out of you and I'm looking forward to living a little life for ME! Talk to you soon my dear friend! coco |

My Dear Silken, No need to apologize about the intrusion. 1st of all, I dont consider it intruding... your the manager and you care about us... your just looking out for the members in here. Actually if you noticed, there was one reply that was already deleted.. it had her hotmail addy on it.. I sugested that she should delete it (dont know why i didnt)lol. Hey Silken! Just a short note before I begin the "get ready for work" process. BHRR died in part because of catwoman's behavior (and she hardly ever came in there after you left, she was too busy jetsetting and making out with girls and boys), and it died largly because the managers moved on with their lives. Some got married, some moved, some just got too busy. Pooh was the driving force and she got married and moved, and no one kept it going, except for limping bear, who was in Catwomans camp. He is the one who adamantly posted that there would be no new managers even though several of us volunteered. And even a few of the existing managers even posted that they thought it might be a good idea, but alas no. So I quit going in there. I will be behind you if you ever start a group like that, because I can attest that I got great comfort from it and do think I made a difference for others. As far as now, I must admit it feels good to just have a bit of serenity. I have some really good people in my life and for now am content. Need to lose weight, would like to maybe change jobs at some point, could always use more money, you know all those things still exist, but at least I'm not walking wounded any more. It sure did take a long time. As for you Silk, there is no way that anyone will ever keep you down. People like you and me, when we feel, we feel to the depths of our soul and that's why it takes so long to come out of it. But we are strong and nothing and no one will ever take us down for the count. One of the biggest blessings I got from BHRR was meeting you, and so I am ever thankful for that, and enjoy being a part of this group immensly. You've done an incredible job here, and I can't even imagine what it must feel like to touch people's lives the way that you do. The ripple effect Silk, it continues on. You brighten someone's day with your work here, they go and brighten the days of their families, coworkers, and others around them, and so it goes. I'M GLAD YOU ARE IN MY DASH I read of a man who stood to speak
At the funeral of a friend
He referred to the dates on her tombstone
From the beginning...to the end. He noted that first came her date of birth
And spoke the following date with tears,
But he said what mattered most of all
Was the dash between those years. (1934-1998) For that dash represents all the time
That she spent alive on earth...
And now only those who loved her
Know what that little line is worth. For it matters not, how much we own;
The cars...the house...the cash,
What matters is how we live and love
And how we spend our dash. So think about this long and hard....
Are there things you'd like to change?
For you never know how much time is left,
That can still be rearranged If we could just slow down enough
To consider what's true and real,
And always try to understand
The way other people feel. And be less quick to anger,
And show appreciation more
And love the people in our lives
Like we've never loved before. If we treat each other with respect,

Silken, I am so sorry I didn't answer your post sooner. You write so beautifully that sometimes I just need to think about what to write next. Your beautiful spirit shines so bright that I simply cannot find the words to express how lucky I think this world is to have you. It sounds like your life is in a state of transition at this time. One thing about people like you and me, nothing can contain us. Struggles are just another prompt to hold your head up and look at the world head on. Oh sure we feel anxiety at time, at sometimes we may even shed a tear or two because a body gets tired of fighting the fight, but then that goes away and the determination returns to fuel who we are at our core. There will be no giving up for you and me, we fight until the very end and won't it be great to be able to look back at all the great times in between times of struggle. It's the down times that make the good times seem all the more special! Be well my friend and I'll write soon! coco |

Hi Silk, How is that new job going for you? You are a tough lady to do that drive everyday!! I hope you find time to take care of you during all this. I finished my course and am a Certified (no not certifiable) Instructor and may have the potential to switch jobs myself and work for the government teaching those with disablilities and their sig. others. Couselling is still my passion though. Is there ever a chance for a meet for this group. That would be so great! I will be in BC twice in 2008 once in Feb in Victoria and then in July in Vancouver. Hi Deb;A lot has changed in my life since we last talked(coming up 3 yrs ago christmas when you were looking for a place to stay in Calgary for a bit).Have since married a wonderful woman,sold out in Calgary and bought a farm just east of Rocky Mtn House,and taken a job overseas.Am now working in Kazakstan,28 on+28 off which gives me half the year off at home.I know I don't participate much but do check in and read every day or 2.Glad to see it picking up again and will try to be more active.
