Okay, how's this.....when men go for their annual checkup, they should be required to hoist their legs up in stirrups and open wide for a doctor of the opposite gender who will do a complete and thorough examination. I think men should be required to pee sitting down and use the same amount of time that women do, but still make due with only one bathroom. I think men should be required to wear make up and take the same amount of time getting ready in the morning that women do. And wax their legs and bikini area. And paint their toenails and fingernails.
Turn about is fair play right????
I think women should be required to shave their faces everyday. I think women should allow men to have one week a month where they can be emotional and crabby and not say anything mean about it. I think women should be required to scrape the windshield on a snowy day while their man waits inside the warm house until the car warms up, put gas in the car, carry in all the groceries, save children and men first in an emergency, purchase condoms and stand patiently while the cashier asks for a price check, be soley responsible for asking men out on a date and pay for the date's expenses.....
What I'm getting at is there are roles that are gender specific and I have to admit I like them. We cannot be treated the same in all areas because we are NOT the same. Women have challenges in their lives men will never have....child birth, menstruation, menopause......and men have challenges too.....such as trying to figure out women, always being the hero, always being responsible for initiation of dates, sex, etc. How in the world can we be treated the same in all areas???
Don't get me wrong, there IS a need for equality in jobs and pay (which we havn't reached yet), and equality needs as far as respect and sharing of some of life's roles..(like the woman take out the garbage and the man gets up with the baby at 2 am), but we just can't be treated the same in every aspect.
Personally, I like being a woman and getting the perks that come along with that. Heck, if I had to be the one to ask someone out on a date....I never would have had one.
