Hey, so this isn't something that directly applies to this group, but I figured that with all of the knowledge out there, I might as well try.
My friend has recently found an amulet that looks to be quite old, and made of iron. He kept dreaming of it, and then he found it hidden in a secret compartment of a box.
The medallion is of a man with his back to us, his left leg raised and bent, the right one firmly on the ground. His right arm is bent and resting on his waste, and his left arm is held high (but like every other limb is bent at the joint in a 90 degree angle). When you turn it over it's the same thing, but the man looks like he's looking over his shoulder. All of this is set in the middle of what looks like a Celtic cross. then where the arms of the cross meet (around the circle part of it) is what looks like flames, or sun rays, or petals (you see them at what would be the NE, SE, SW, NW corners of a compass, assuming the cross arms were pointed N E S W). He also feels a strong connection to it, like he can't take it off.
I know this is very vague, but he's someone I really care about, and I need to try and help him. If anyone so much as has a tiny idea of what this could be, PLEASE reply to this. I'm desperately in need of help.

Me again, I just got the message that he is probably going to be reluctent to do this, to let it go for a month, (that is part of the hold this has on him) but you must assure him that it's the best thing to do if he wants to possibly be able to keep it. Be firm |

You have no idea how much trouble this thing has been giving the two of us. My only problem is to get the thing off of him. (To be honest, some of the side effects of this thing make me think it's hexed...)

Thanks for your vote of confidence Kell  Marcie, I just re-read what I wrote, and it looks like I said to let it go for a month, as in not do anything for a month. Nope didn't mean that ;) Yup that's the message I got, that he wouldn't want to let it go. Again that is the power of this thing. You can do a spell to break the power of a spell (or hex) This is one of the last spells I moved to the other site, so it came immediately to mind. I've never done this, but it makes perfect sense to me. And no, sorry love, no idea what the symbolism could be, but again I wish you the best of luck. He will have to be part of this. Please keep me updated? A Spell to Break the Power of a Spell Place a large black candle in a cauldron (or a large black bowl). The candle must extend a few centimeters above the rim. Fill the cauldron to the rim with fresh water, without wetting the wick. An inch or 2 should remain above the water. Breathe deeply, mediate clear your mind and light the candle. Visualize the suspect's spell power as residing within the candle's flame. Sit in quiet contemplation of the candle and visualize the power flowing and growing with the candle flame (yes, the power against you). As the candle burns down, its flame will eventually sputter and go out as it contacts the water. As soon as the flame has been extinguished by the water, the spell will be dispersed. Break your visualization of the spell's power; see it explode into dust, becoming impotent. Pour the water into a hole in the ground, a lake or stream. Bury the candle. It is done. Once you break the power of this thing, and he can release it for awhile. I would still do what I mentioned above. At least the Sea salt, and burying it for a cycle. |

Thank you guys so much! You have no idea how much I appreciate all the help. And I promised I'd fill you in on all the details, and now I will.
I went to his house and I read him the advice you guys gave me (thanks a million), and he was reluctant. He kept telling me no and holding the amulet close to his chest. I told him fine, and that we wouldn't do anything, and when he turned to get up, I pulled it off of him. Then I asked him again, and even though he was looking at the amulet the whole time, he started to warm up to the idea (I think it had some power over him...).
I put the amulet on the coffee table, and the two of us went into the kitchen to have something to drink, and when we came back, we couldn't find it.
He has a cat that likes to take things that don't belong to it, so we thought that could have been what happened. But then I started thinking about it, and I find it hard to believe his tinny cat could carry something away that heavy. Furthermore, it's a house cat, and doesn't go outdoors. So there's only a few places it could have hidden it, and neither of us can find it now.
I dunno... it's really weird. But I just hope, for his sake, he never finds it... |

Hi Marcie, Your welcome sweetheart Let's hope that a higher power did indeed step in a remove it. How is he acting now? The one thing I do worry about is that, whatever/whoever gave it to him in the first place took it back knowing we were on to it, and will in turn give it to someone else unaware. Hey! ^_^
Ok, so lately he's been happier, but a bit distant. The two of us agree that there's till some funky and negative mojo left from the amulet. The thing is that it's hanging around him, and I'm very protective of him, and don't want it to do him any harm (and we can't seem to life the energy and get rid of it...) so I've done a spell that will attract any harmful energy meant for him to me. Any suggestions on what to do though, because I know that this is harmful for me, and unwise to not tell him I've cast this kind of a spell (I knew he'd be worried for my safety and wouldn't let me do it).

Oh Marcie no :( Please as soon as you can, follow one of the cleansing spells I have given you. Please never do this again. It is very harmful in so many ways. I know you are concerned for your friend, but in doing so, you may have opened a door that brings with it a miriad of problems that go even beyond what he experienced. Please cleanse now..today. We are once again at the waning moon time, so that is an option, but the spell to break a spell should also do the trick. Keep me updated. Be well Marcie |

I know, I know. It's not a smart thing what I'm doing, but I've tried the cleansing spells, and they had some effect, but it didn't get rid of it all, and so until we're able to do it again (and trust me, I've been working spells like it's goingout of style) I don't want him to be effected by it. I'd rther suffer from it than him, although I know how bad an idea it is... And what's generational warlock? I can't seem to find aything about it.... Marcie |

Ok love, not going to mess with your free will. One more option however? Do you have a smudge stick perhaps, or just some sage? You can use store bought sage in a pinch. Please give yourself and your surroundings (his place to if possible) a cleansing. That may do the trick. Do you know how? If not, just ask Take good care Marcie |

Marcie... I say this with a good heart... NO you do NOT realize what it is you have done. If you did know what a bad idea this was you would not have done it. But what is done is done. BathSalts (deadsea salts if you can find it or seasalt) a good handful in your hot bath water... I am getting the color yellow...add some food coloring to tint your bath water.( Not so it turns YOU yellow...but a few drops to tint the water.) A little dried sage from the kitchen...a pinch will do...as will a fresh sprig of rosemary (don't add this until you are in the tub... you want to inhale the fragrance athrough your nose and out your mouth) Light three white candles(these are readily available and universal) As you light them say for each ...candle one..this is my body...I cleanse thee...candle two... this is my spirit...I cleanse thee...candle three... this is my soul...I cleanse thee. Now slip into the tub, close your eyes, and imagine all the negative energy is draining from you into the bathwater to be cleansed and turned neutral. Once you begin to feel that you have to get out then do so. Pull the plug and know that all the negative energy is released and neutralized. If you wish watch it go down the drain. Don't forget to thank (what ever god/goddess etc you believe in) Oh ...(god/goddess/universe) thank you for coming to my aid and assisting me in removing this energy. I release it back into the world both changed and good. Hmmm... I've been watching this thread. But have not had anything to add that Jody hadn't already.
