Rippling Dream
There on the mountainside
Along the stream,
The moon shone bright
In a rippling dream.
As she sat on the rocks
And dangled her feet,
Just to touch the sweet waters
That would make her soul weep.
Weep for the beauty
That she would behold
As she stood and did walk
On the sand and the stones.
The light was quite brilliant
As it luminated the world
And clouds ever drifting
A shadow unfurled.
Beside her she noticed
A shape but unseen,
The beast has returned,
Has re-entered her dream.
The leaves wet beneath her,
The breeze warm and soft,
Yet she heard a kind whisper
That would keep her aloft.
She heard the wood crackle
As it broke under foot
And would turn 'round to see him
Just behind the clear brook.
He whispered through breezes
A warm summer's eve
And gently did kiss her
Beneath the moon, pleased.
She felt him all through her
A chill down her spine
And the trembling of feelings
Were so very fine.
Though a distance he was,
They were so close to hearts.
The connection of souls,
That began in the stars .
So she walked on with pleasure
And took in the night air
And the mists from the river
Did dampen her hair.
And she thought of the moments
That they did embrace,
The moisture of essence,
The moisture of grace.
The animal passion awoke
In her desire
And softly she grinned
As she felt all afire.
The flames grew as quickly
As her memories did,
And the heat of the moments
She once again bid.
For his presence, his essence,
His deep, dark, brown eyes,
That made her sing out
The wolf's song with such pride.
Now she stumbles and staggers
So giddy and free,
For she felt his true spirit
Inside her soul being.
A pasture ahead.
Now she needed a place
To lay down her body
For now it did race.
And she grasped the fresh grass
And smelt it so new
And she opened herself
To the beast that she knew.
He was there right beside her,
She could feel his warm breath.
Her chest started pounding
As he took her in depth.
To the depths of true Spirits,
Connected as One.
To the depths of a love
Beating as One distant drum.
There on the mountainside,
There on the grass,
He embraced her, not memory
Through that one astral path.
There on the mountainside,
Down by the stream,
Her love ever lingers
As a rippling dream.
