Love this topic......I remember a thread...probably a few years ago when I asked several questions on reincarnatation........maybe someday I will bump that one up and see if there is any further insight on these questions........anyway, I will briefly share my thoughts on this......I believe the soul is faceted.....with bits and pieces from all previous lives......so wouldn't it make sense that the spirit of the soul associated with us in this lifetime would be able to make its presence known to us?.......and yet...the part of the soul that may need to continue can still reincarnate and continue with what it is that it needs to learn?

 

I believe Ashara has made a very good point here as well.........time......here on Earth....we really only perceive things in linear time.......but in the spirit world.....time is non existant.......so I am sure that has alot to do with this as well.......

 

SabellaVamp.......I totally agree with you on the "old souls" reincarnating at this time....returning with their "knowing"......even if it these souls are not aware of what they "know" just yet.....

 

Great topic......I love to think of all the possibilities.......and what really makes this so cool is.......that most of us do "know" this answer......or answers.....yet we may not become aware of them in our life!

sweetheart perhaps your mun feels you need her around right now,when we think of people both living and moved accross,they can feel it.more so in spirit i believe expecially those that we loved,that emotional bond lives on always ,even between life times.as for rebirth well free will at its finest,our choice really and our higher selfs,the keeper of the keys.we are in essence many selfs,and not a one person show.im a healer and deal with energys on many levels.when you feel your mun close to you send her a blessing in devine order.in respect to learning all there is to know.that cannot happen for it would be like a ceiling level on devine knowledge and love.the journeys what it is all about and frankly how we conduct ourselfs along the way.rob

There is in fact reincarnation...the reason some spirits stay on the other side, is because we don't reincarnate immediately upon return...it can take centries to come back again, if it is neccessary to do so. So this is why your loved-ones are in spirit while you are here on earth. So it seems to us, that some spirits remain in the spirit realm but in fact they may be learning and growing until that time--which can be many centries from now--and by that time, you too will be in spirit as will I and all others here....now, some are asceded masters, and do not have to return unless they wish to help the world with their light and so forth....

facited spirits, timless spheres and the ever growing power of light within all of us, is all somehow connected to our subconsious.  And I think that the key to all of these questions lies there, and in only being true to ourselves will we see the answers to our questions.  We need to be more honest and open then ever before even if we think we are doing it all right there is still a section of our hearts that we have left undisclosed to our family and friends, We have to be at complete and totally peace within to be able to see beyond ourselves. SO the qustion is Not what is the truth but instead WHAT AM I????I think that is why we love all those quizzes so much! They help us figure out what we are made of and how we work, we are like a big puzzle piece and we cannot fix the puzzle w/o fixing ourselves.

i think your answer is that we all have choices if one wants to remain on the other side or even not go to the light that is the person choice, but in time i think the person will want to return because of want the person needs to learn for that lifetime we all have choices and i think that is want happens when we go there we have a choice to return or not but in time we will i think it depends how much healing we need when we get there depending of want happen in a persons life.

Although I think your question “If we believe that the soul will be reincarnated why is it that some souls/spirits remain on the other side?�?has already been beautifully answered, I would like to offer my support for some of the answers and share how I have reconciled the seemingly contradictory beliefs.  For a long time I tried to reconcile my belief in reincarnation and my belief that our loved ones who have crossed over continue to watch over us, guide us and even send us messages.  The two beliefs seemed to contradict each other until I went through a past-life regression.  In that past-life, I was a woman who experienced the death of her 2-year old daughter.  I grieved for that child throughout that life�?which ended when I was a very old woman.  During the session, I actually experienced the moment I crossed over…and there on the “other side�?was my young child—waiting to greet me.  In her incarnation as that child, she had spent 2 years on the earth-plane and nearly 60 earth-years on the other side.  Although she physically appeared to me as the 2-year old I had lost—it was obvious that she had done a tremendous amount of spiritual growing during that time, and she shared with me some important lessons.  After that past-life regression session, I no longer felt conflicted about the seemingly contradiction of my beliefs.  I came to realize that when a soul chooses to incarnate as a person, they are choosing the lessons and growth that are to be learned as that person on the earth-plane and in the spirit-world.  When you are born and you have learned what you set out to learn, your physical body dies and you cross-over.  Once crossed-over, and you have learned what you set out to learn or do what you have set out to do on the other side, you re-incarnate—and the cycle starts anew.  I believe a person’s entire existence as a specific individual encompasses everything they experience on earth and on the other-side.  I completely agree with DarkPoet’s assertion that “Our souls are able to choose when and where to return to Earth based on what we need to learn, or what we need to bring to a particular point of time or a particular group of people.�?SPAN>  I hope this adds to your understanding and answers your question.
