Are you talking about Ki healing? You don't necessarily need to be an empath to send healing, or lay hands, or be atuned to Reiki. You probably are a natural healer, as a matter of fact I know you are, but you probably should get your first attunement, so you can learn the basics, or at least study the concepts of Reiki, and with level two, you would learn your symbols and such. Although I found that even before level two, and before I learned the symbols, the healing that passed through me, was none the less powerful, but they are good to know :)

I must have just missed you.  Darn it! I am such a moron (lol)! I forgot my password and have only been spectating for about a year now. tehehe... Glad the non smoking is going well. And if yu smoke like I do while busy on the pc ect... you will be amazed at how many cigs you actually wasted. Ya know? I am so afraid of the weight I might put on that I can't seem to get over that hurdle.  

Anyway, if you have the time this weekend I would like to know what my life path is and if I should be using my past experiances for something other just being Empathic and what type of healing comes across to you? I work in the wound feild right now and love it. But you mentioned Reiki? I will start researching that one. Being Empathic I have numbed myself out to negative energy but you know positive energy makes me frrl like I have taken a good drug. Are you this way too?    I am off all weekend too. Yeah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

   Does neg energy make you feel like you have the flu sometimes?

  Oh I know! The computer is still my biggest trigger, and your so right. I didn't actually do much smoking really, just alot of holding and wasting.

   I have put on a little weight

My comfort food has become chocolate, and I don't even like chocolate! lol It does suck.

  I eat alot of sunflower seeds. They help.

Anywhoo, on to your original topic....healing...love it! :)

  Well sweetie, healing is healing. There's no particular field as in conventional medicine.

  Being empathic simply means, taking on anothers feelings. There's no real way to use it in healing, unless for example, you pulled energy from another person, to give to someone else, if that makes sense.

With Reiki that is not needed, as the energy always comes from the universe anyway. We are just channels. That's why when I hear someone say. I am just to zapped myself to help. I have no energy. I would like to say, then your not doing this right, because the energy should be coming from "outside" yourself.

Saying something like that comes from the ego, and from those that like people to think "they" are doing the healing.

  Sorry to go off, but that's a peeve of mine. lol

Where were we? Oh yes.....There are alot of excellent sites out there where you can learn Reiki, but if you ever have any questions, please just ask, and I'll help as best as I can.

  Darlin, I was married to the flu, or actually he was more like the black plague. lol, so yes, it is a downer for sure. Just stay grounded as much as possible, and or, if you "see" it coming, get your bubble up, and activated.
