Hi Jace...good morning!   I use the same technique :)  After I got my first attunement, the first time I was able to feel "the energy" flow. You should have seen my face! I bet it was a kodak moment It's amazing isn't it :) I can feel hot spots, especially if I am doing chakra bridging. Let me think on anything to add, brain no function to well at the moment ;)   You know...I just thought of something. This is a great topic for the teaching board. Would you mind if I moved your post there? That way we can have it for future referance without this wonderful topic disappearing into the archives of the general board so quickly. Hi Jace.......I have been an aura energy feeler since I was a young girl.I couldn't cuddel with certain people, some aura energies would tickel me  too much, that I couldn't handel touching them( Doesn't do me any good in relationships, lol)   Your tecnique shared here is what I will do too, with my children.I usually visualize a powerful, swirling beam of silvery white light coming down from the galexies, into my hands and through my fingers.I would love to get my Reiki levels, but saddly, my finances wont allow that right now.I guess I have more to do on my journey before I do that then right!   This subject on the teaching board would be great~ I have some great techniques to start learning how to see auras   Love and Light, ~Ashara Fey~

Sure Jody, move it to where ever you think it will be most useful to everyone. This is the subject I'm currently studying and would love to share any info I get.  I just bought "Hands of Light" and am learning so much from it.  It really takes me back when I was little and was able to see a little better.   Ashara, I hope I don't against everyone here, but I don't think you really need an attunement if it's a natural gift for you.  I got my Reiki levels to make it more real in my own eyes.   -Jace

What you are speaking of is called Therapeutic Touch. I am a Reiki practitioner (master) and I use T. T. as well. I have always seen auras so it was easy for me to find them and follow them. Another method to help those who don't see or feel them easily is ......as you bring your hands close to them feel for a bouncy feeling. Start far enough away as to not be on or inside it too soon. To help with yourself when you have no one to practice on is to practice on yourself. Stand in front of a wall or any flat area. A table will work too. Close your eyes and start reaching out with your hands to touch the wall. Or if by a table hold your hand above the table and slowly lower your hand. Feel with your hands the energy shift as your own aura comes in contact with the wall or table. Do this often. You also can hold your hands out at arms length palms facing each other and slowly bring your hands together. You will feel your aura start touch and it will feel like a soft balloon or bubble. That is the gentleness of aura. You can break through with no more force than it would take to burst a bubble. Remember when you are tuning in on those higher vibrations your own aura extends out more. When I am channeling, healing, etc., my aura is so far out that my arms do not extend far enough apart to be outside my own aura. Justme3

Hi Justme, While I was channeling one evening it was about 10:00 PM. I was in deep meditation mode and I had a lot of energy running through me as I was sending it long distance.  My oldest was ready for bed and he bent in to Kiss me good night.  I felt this twice, when he only did this once so I can verify that the aura does get a lot bigger and is stronger when channeling.   Hummingmask, If you try to send energy to the hot spots make sure you are not using your own energy.  Visualize the energy/light coming from the universe through your head (crown chakra) and out through your hands. White, Gold and Green are the most common colors to use for healing. If you don't do this you could very quickly drain your own energy and leave yourself exhausted. Visualizing the "patient" as happy and healthy as you do this helps as well.   -Jace

I have been attuned to Reiki, level III, and  I've also gone to Eric Pearl's, Reconnection workshop and was attuned to that energy, as well,  I notice a big difference between the two.  I get much more information, psychically, while doing Reiki, and most people seem to prefer Reiki to the Reconnection.  I don't know if it's because the energy feels too strong while doing the Reconnection, if people just like to be touched, and thus, that is why they prefer Reiki,  or if Reiki is just more what people are needing these days.  I'm a newcomer to this site, but I would appreciate any feedback anyone might have about this topic.  I have also noticed that I tend to feel much more love flowing through me while doing Reiki.  Any thoughts?

  I am so sorry. This board is almost stagnant, so I rarely check it anymore. (obviously) I really am sorry, and didn't mean to ignore you.

 

I believe that Reiki's energies are just so gentle and soothing. It's really not our energy, so there's nothing to mess up! *smile* The universe and powers that be,  know just exactly what each person needs, so the energies are so personalized. Does that makes sense?

  I love Reiki, (it's my passion) and all that goes with it, so please feel free to talk all you want about it, and I'll do my best to talk back atcha, and I also promise to check this board more often.

Petunia, I've heard the same comments about Reiki vs the Reconnection.    I've never had Reiki, I've only had two reconnections performed on me, once was a very powerful and overhwelming  experience, the second was just a pleasant meditation.
