"Anatomy of a Warrior" from the "Spiritual Path and the Yellow Brick road" series.

Good evening. The following is a "chat transcript" from a conversation about the Path of a warrior. The "chat" didn't start out that way J but I sorta guided it there nonetheless. People may tell you there's a zillion ways to be a warrior…but we can recognize each others' RYUs all the same via the performance?/FONT>

it's about how you REPRESENT.

By the way - Never give out your password or credit card number in an instant message conversation. J unless you're paying me

Ryonen:         Kellog, do you have a sec?

Kellog: good evening. what can I do for you?

Ryonen:         I just read the Board post to yoga and wondered where the information on singular paradox is? I have been spending a lot of time with paradox lately, can't seem to function without it lol

Kellog: read "steps to take" on SLC - and read Part 3 of the Yellow Brick Road series.

Ryonen:         thank you .

Kellog: there is a storm coming. "red sky at morning, sailor take warning."

Ryonen:         boy that felt like it should have some kind of spooky background music with it, brrrrrr.

Kellog: heed the rap rap tapping - softly rapping on the spiritual door. The worst terror or attack never comes at midnight, when expected. It usually arrives with the early morning milkman, or with the robin looking for the worm. Looking ...with red eyes. you won't be able to hide from those eyes.

Ryonen:         will I want to?

Kellog: you are asking a warrior if he wants to eat at breakfast with his Shadow? Death is a knock on the door. My doors are always unlocked.

Ryonen:         kellog, am I a warrior?

Kellog: do you love life?

Ryonen:         yes, very much.

Kellog: are you afraid of dying?

Ryonen:         yes.

Kellog: Then you are a sensible sort. No decent warrior is a dolt. There are many wanna-bes; they usually end as fodder for the blade, or in the recycle bin of life. A warrior carefully plans her death, so that it is not wasted. A warrior does nothing of little value.

A warrior treats small matters as large ones, and greets the dawn as a friend to share her energy and Intent with. A warrior treats friends as customers, and enemies as an opportunity in risk; customers are to be served, and opportunities are to be cherished. This is because friends often times are strangers in cause, and enemies are always intimate in Intent.

The actions of those holding as a goal your pain or death can be counted upon to provide certain opportunities in risk - and can always be counted on to provide a truth of action. What they do - is intended to destroy you. This knowledge is a gift, and should be cherished.

The enemy who stands before you - unsheathed and ready for combat ---- is the best gift in the world for a warrior. It is the friend in deceit who often times wields the keenest blade. If you feel accustomed to grasping the opportunity in risk - and enjoy life so much you are prepared to die - every morning ----

Then you may be a decent warrior.

Many warriors wield the most unlikely of weapons. This does nothing to discount their value as such.   Each of us chooses her personal battlefields.   The issue is -- do we also choose to succeed?

We are all born - knowing only life. This in itself only provides impetus for survival.   A warrior must learn the value of failure - so she can succeed.   She must be willing to die to do this. If this fits your personal profile - then you may be a decent warrior. But any warrior with Intent can be a functioning warrior.

Ryonen:         I have only recently stepped on the warrior path, wholeheartedly.

Kellog: Then only recently have you been, such.

Ryonen:         I knew I had great strength but was afraid of mishandling it. I had to learn to trust myself, first - but I also had to accept life.

Kellog: A warrior's path is one of resolute acceptance of death. Trusting yourself is something you rarely learn to satisfaction. I suggest to you that you are still working at it.

Ryonen:         yes. Every day, every morning when I wake up with the thought that anything is possible this day - my life, as well as my death.

Kellog: This is an action I can recognize. It has tremendous capability for power, if not delimited by negativity.

Ryonen:         I fear that has often been the case. I fight it even now.

Kellog: fear is a tool - not a wall. Embrace/accept/release. Of these - which do you think is the hardest for a warrior to learn?

Ryonen:         embrace.

Kellog: then you are still a warrior-in-work J but that is not a bad thing.

Ryonen:         I am still doing it backwards.

Kellog: There is no directional conflict. All approaches I am aware of - to illumination - require a personalization. Your major tool at this point is a shield to emotional turmoil. This tool has served you to this point in your life - so it has value. But as you grow - you need to expand.   Flexibility is a trait of a successful warrior. Unsuccessful warriors are those using the same strategy on differing /conflicting objectives. "fool me once - shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me"

I cannot lose a battle I am not fighting. Whomever has the most to gain in a conflict - is often the one who loses it.

To place my enemy's regard of gain before my own - is to give him advantage and satisfaction.

I provide no surface for my enemy to grasp - while extending the sign of welcome and acceptance. This is the essence of the floating hand style. "KCD"

Ryonen: what is KCD?

Kellog: Kantan Chi Do. loosely translated ---- "Path of simple wind"

You do not need to take karate lessons to be a warrior; but it doesn't hurt either.

There has never been a time in recent history where it was more important to be a private warrior, than it is today. Personal choices, the risk in opportunities for gain, the opportunity for realization in the risk of making life-choices?the "good" people are being assailed by the intensity in conflict of those whom wish to impose their wills.

Simply living a life in modern America - or anywhere in the world where there is a semblance of personal freedoms in performance of religious beliefs or material advancement.

A decent warrior never rushes to danger; she realizes the value of placement and timing, and uses the tools and opportunities provided to attend to her station as due her privileges and rights. There is always a place for Timing - and a time for Placement.

A decent warrior holds nothing dear that is of little value - and prepares for conflict by centering herself and her needs.  It is the performance of her station that allows for her satisfaction and calmness - not the other way around. It's a simple secret hidden in plain sight in everyday Kata - that otherwise ordinary actions properly performed a thousand times hold immeasurable power when wielded with Intent. It is one of the clews to Personal Power that something is initially boring, yet holds a quiet power known best to those who take the time to pay - chilled scrupulous attention…to every single act they perform.

Others wiser than I have posted the message...in unlikely places hidden in plain sight. The message is a simple one, and spiritual warriors all over the world are recognizing it: there is a storm coming.

Begin your preparations; Look around - time is of the essence.
