The teacher is Kellog_bluff, the room was Spiritual Learning Center and the question was "how do you grow your gifts". Enjoy!

The idea is - if you already know how to do this - you won't  be asking about it. So I'll be talking to those who don't know how to do it.

Actually - I doubt very much if you all are ignorant of the protocol... if you consider yourself spiritual - and have tried to live this way... then you have heard what I’m about to cover, and that is the key, and the first thing we need to discuss: The issue of ignorance vs. enlightenment. There's a funny little spiritual law - don't ask me why --- I don't make these laws, but it works like this....once you have been exposed to a Truth....you are responsible for following it. One reason it's nice to be ignorant of spirituality is that you aren't burdened with knowledge that you're screwing up the truth.

The first step you make in developing your "gifts" - is to understand this biz of ignorance vs. enlightenment. I know it sounds like...duuuhhh, but it is the truth, regardless of who/what ya are, there is no turning back to ignorance once you expose yourself to this stuff -- the Real stuff.

So - here's yur warning - if ya wanna tune out now, ok, do so. Understand that we all come from a 'place" where we all knew what our spirituality was about - and what these "gifts" were really about. We come here to learn how to be --- adult, however ya wannna put it. This is a one-stop learning center - this Wurld, and we are here to learn, experience --- so even if you do nothing about these "gifts" - you are still learning what your Spirit needs you to learn, even if it takes forever.

I needed to preface that - so we can talk about THIS:  Building gifts has to do with reaching your Center. Every way of life/religion addresses it in their own way. The Key is - you must do a metamorphosis - in this life �?consciously. Even folks born with active gifts...need to sharpen and focus them.

None of us (us 'normal' folks) are born knowing everything we need to do and learn, otherwise you wouldn't be here in this room. The idea is to move towards your Center.... and not be aroused or manipulated by the world's tricks and pleasures. Experience the world - but don't get aroused by it. If you already follow Zen - you have a head start.

Ok - let's get into some nitty gritty. First - you need to define your goal...your Heroic goal in this life. I know this sounds silly, maybe, but it is fact that you will never accomplish anything you have not defined, and set your intent on.

What I talk of here, is the focus of your Intent ---- your thoughts. You must get control of your thoughts first, and create your heroic goal second. People with cluttered minds, cluttered thoughts - can never accomplish anything spiritually. I speak of thoughts that conflict with spirituality. If one is always thinking of carnality - or sloth - or pleasures of the body, they will not develop what we are discussing.

Development of 'gifts' means to control the god/spirit/ abilities - in This world it's a tall order - so it takes serious steps.

The first is - control your Intent on life, and on your goals, using whatever method ya wanna use, to get control over your thoughts and build a placid mind. There are a bunch of ways to do this. None of them are fun. I wont get into them - I'm  sure Ya All got a favorite method.

Remember - at this point - your worst enemy is your own impatience. Most folks can't get their checkbook in order, much less their mind's eye. But if you can't control your thoughts - you wont control your gifts. Period. And when you cross over - it will be the First point of order for your new existence, whatever little pockets of "carnality" you have inside you.

You'll need to deal with your blocks, so ya might as well start now. To the extent you can build a placid mind - you will begin to gain control, and develop - new "gifts". This is not a secret; you all know this--- so...this is lesson One : Build the placid mind, get your Goal identified.

A corollary to lesson One: Learning to accept yourself. None of us are angels...me especially; Add to this, that guilt is as bad as hate, when it comes to holding you back from your gifts. Lesson One has to do with relinquishing hate from your mind.

The next lesson is about getting rid of guilt. It is as heavy a weight on your spirit as hate is, and don't sit there and tell me none of you have hate. I can prove it to all of you if I take the time to visit your mind's eye as I have done to a few of you. You All - every one of you - have both guilt, and hate inside of you, or you would be guiding this discussion, not I.

Lesson two is about releasing the guilt. It may be more difficult than learning lesson One because of the different intent involved. Why is guilt so important to release? Because it is an attachment to this world, and to advance in spiritual things - you must release the worldly attachments. Hate and guilt are two of the three most noxious attachments we have.

So, how to release guilt? Well - I didn't cover the hate thing, because I know ya All have your expertise in doing something about hate - right? But guilt...might be worth giving ya a little trick, so here is the trick. You'll need the control (from lesson 1) Guilt is the product of this world; it exists nowhere else, nowhere else I've been. Guilt is a product of self-importance, and expectation of righteousness --- what is all that mean in 10cent words?

It means that everyone wants to be worth something - be responsible for something, feel that their actions are worth something. Guess what..... you are not at fault for anything that happens in this Wurld --- that is out of your control, and for what IS in your control - it doesn't matter, whether you are a saint or a sinner --- you can only control what your INTENT has focused on. Since most people don't have any focus - they need to release all the pent-up guilt and hate they feel, due to "world's injustice". They simply need the golden rule.

The golden rule Really is golden: simply treat others as you would be treated. Don't try to bring world peace, don't try to change everyone's perspective to yours. This isn't a Big Secret - not so hidden if we are talking about it here. But guilt is insidious, it doesn't go away easily. For proof - look at any commercial showing starving children. Ya wanna bend the Wurld to help, right? And when that child dies - you feel guilt.

Guilt and shame are sisters of course. Remember - we are talking about how to develop something that is extraordinary --- "gifts".

This requires a metamorphosis of both your mind and body. It can be gradual and some are born with some of this tuned already. Tuned into what? Into a person who Taps - consciously - on this Wurld. What you call psychics, what I call cool folks; someone who moves among us - but is not part of us, has no problems, no issues, no baggage and can do extraordinary things. These gifts are available to all ---- but hardly anyone would take the steps to get them.

So far- after all I've said thus far --- does it sound easy? How may of you have conquered hate and guilt? Not me. Hate -  I've got covered but guilt ya still have trouble with. Well- if ya can be really honest with your issues - it is a start. The trick - one of them,  to letting go of guilt - as satori said earlier - is detachment. Ya gotta quit trying to save the world and quit being a girl scout/boy scout. The Biafran kids will starve. Yep.

I'm not saying to Not do good deeds,  and here is lesson three: right behind it ya gotta get rid of righteousness, and what comes with it --- the loving of what this planet has to offer. Everyone comes here to enjoy what this planet offers, and they don't want to leave. Sex - only happens here - in the way it happens. Ask any folk who's astral traveled; it ain't the same Out There, it's more fun here. This is one of the attachments ya gotta leave behind, and all the guilt of sex and all the righteousness about whether someone is gay or not... All that Shit needs to stay here. When ya can get these three issues under control - ya can make progress. Ok - into the back stretch.....stay with me. So let's say we are just dandy with all the above, no issues - real cool folks so - Now what do we do?

Well - first - you're gonna notice something cool. :-)

It has to do with Intent. If you are able to focus on what you need in life...... and you have covered the above three things......a strange thing happens. What you focus on -- happens really fast , because your mind's eye is in touch with Spirit, and Spirit provides what you need �?here I can use myself as example but I'm sure you all know some folk like this. Someone you think is a spiritual person. I'll describe him/her: She has no major issues in life, she lives comfortable... not rich, not poor; has stable life, has stable income, does something in spiritual community, and usually does it subtly - but not always; doesn't say anything negative out of hand, health is not bad... need I go on?

Sounds like a cool existence, right? Ya build it when you can Tap your "Gifts". Call it miracles if ya want -- I don’t. Ok - back to the direction. So, we're all cool with the three bad bears of emotion.    Now...what do we do with all this great mind control? We use our mind's eye via meditation - or "singing" --- or visions -- or whatever gift you happen to have. I will guarantee that gift is now Bulging to break out. You will only need to focus your mind - on what you want to do with it. I use meditation but you can use whatever technique you like. If you've been studying astral travel, for example, all the stuff you read in past - will now start coming together. You will be able to remember the dreams, so that you can concentrate on grasping the Portent. The next time you dream, everything you do - will have a specialness to it. Your friends will notice, strangers will notice, and will be attracted to you. This is not a Secret of the Wurld; you can read this in any spiritual book worth its cover price, including Eck.

The idea is - the first three sisters of emotion ----- the control thereof - is the key. Even if you make only partial progress you will get partial rewards. Nothing of value in this Wurld ever comes without hardship �?/FONT> I hope I used down-to-earth words, but this is not really rocket science... just spiritual science. Where the mind goes - so goes the body. As above, so below. What we visualize - we bring into being.
