I remember the times we could play out in the street with no fear, no TV no Computers or Game Boys etc'. we went out and played with our friends, walked to the park, had to walk to school 'only the rich had cars'., times were much better then for children, and we grew up better for it.

i can remember when the police man was your friend as long as you kept out of trouble, or god help you!!! one visit was enough to scare the living daylights out of you!. we played making stilts with cans, would be health n safety involved now!.we also got i main toy, then new shoes to start back to school in.oh, and a stocking with nuts and fruit in.but we were happy with that . xxx |

When I was little I loved policemen they were soooo big and strong. My dad used to trawl the beach looking for pieces of glass (no jagged edges) for my little shop. I had green, blue, brown and clear glass pieces in little jars lol. Then I used to chop up worms for another jar and made perfume out of the rose petals that I pinched off my mum's rose bushes lol. Played French skipping out in the street for hours on end. Played tag and bebs (don't know what you would call it) with dad's shoe polish tin. Those were the days my friend lol Polly xxxxxxxxxx |
