1000cc single cylinder. Non of your fancy pufter electric starter for this beast. Break your leg or ankle if you got the kick start in the wrong position, and it back fired.

My Tiger 90 had a lashed up RH revcounter dial casing with the headlight selector switch in it, and centrally was the ignition switch which was only a spade ended key. There was a chrome box with kill button and dip. if you left the headlight bots a push fit you could dop anyway.  Rev counters was for pouffes.

Remember the Smiths concentric speedo dial?

There was the one with the revs and gear on can't find it

I never saw one of those clock needles swing in a steady line, they like to dance their way up the scale.

Yeah, Smith & Lucas electrical systems are both very good bad examples.

major  you might remember the chronometric speedo was gear not electrically driven

And maybe if Tommy gave his venom a lttle rest he might realise the cheaper speedo systems ran on cable and a magnetic head. EG Veglia So what a stupid remark about elecrtical systems for speedometers.

Yeah but the Japs are still in business.

yes bearing in mind it was USA who bribed them into business. What in his predictable Sarcasm T-Dog pretends to forget is in Japan business is doled out among the big 4. In 50 years no other company has started.

Bridgestone made beautiful quality 2-strokes and lethal tyres They were asked. Did they want to continue to supply OE tyres or bikes as that was Suzuki's turf. Look at your bike's
OE tyres. Go find a new Bridgestone bike.

But of course that doesn't satisfy tommy got to find an anti british angle.

Lucas was known as.... the Clown Prince of Darkness. I had experience of Bridgestone tyres and a bigger contrast between wet and dry performance is impossible to get. They were on my first Yam and in the dry, I could scratch my footrest round the bends all day, but if somebody so much as spit on the road, they were deadly. The worst tyres in the wet ever made.

Professor Flash, perhaps #19 was not clear enough for you.  The electrical system was in reference to the pitiful Lucas.
