It's a huge stick, really-
tall,
skinny,
blank
without leaves,
like a man
who sheds his hair
in clumps
on the bathroom floor,
or wisps
in the bowl
of the sink,
but it's different
with the big,
tall,
skinny
blank without leaves
tree outside my window,
it has hopes
for spring. |

how about a native american naming approach... mishikenkmitiboodnh which means.. tall-skinny-blank-without-leaves-tree-outside-my-window {actually it means turtle tree tadpole in Minnesota Ojibwe}
