"Boy" tour - december 13, 1980 - U2 perform in Boston, Massachusetts at the Paradise Theater as support for "Barooga". The crowd is only 150 strong, small for a club that can hold 500. WCBN radio heavily plays U2 for the week prior to the show. Sixty to seventy percent of the crowd left after U2 completed their set; around 40 people remain to see Barooga, some of whom are members of U2 and their crew.
"October" tour - december 13, 1981 - U2 perform in Lido Beach, NY at the Malibu Beach Night Club. Before "Rejoice"...Edge is not ready yet. The show is recorded by WLIR radio. After the show, the band travels back to Europe.
Edge and Bono attend Pavarotti's wedding - december 13, 2003. Bono and Edge, with their wives Ali and Morleigh, respectively, are on hand for the wedding of Luciano Pavarotti to Nicoletta Mantovani in Modena, Italy. Initial reports suggest that Bono sung for the couple during the reception, and London's Evening Standard eventually reports that Bono sang "All I Want Is You", changing the lyrics to the more topical 'When the pasta has run dry/And the wine no longer gets you high/All I want is you.'
