Review U2 3D! 
Waller Reviews:  Bonobuzz - 1/25/08 - Well wallers I went to see U2 3D last night! It was AMAZING! I had so much fun, for all of us die hards it's just what we need since we are impatiently awaiting the next album/tour! It was a U2 fans dream come true, & Bono fans, eemm me, still can't get over seeing Bono up close & personal, WOW! Me & my friends were singing our hearts out & dancing in our seats, you feel like you are part of the crowd, you feel like you are on stage, & you see what it looks like from their vantage point, truly awesome. I won't get into all the particulars because I know a lot of you haven't seen it yet. Here are a few pictures from the evening, I think I'm going again, maybe take my son! My only complaint is that the crowd that we were in attendance just looked like they were watching a movie, there is no way that I could have just sat there, but it's so loud no one cared about our singing & dancing!
UnhitchedWildhorsey - 1/26/08 - I went to see U23D today. First off I am going to say that everything pre-show was good and hassle free as far as our reserved seats, and tickets and also the general IMAX employees etc. They even let me remain seated before the show began to seat in the auditorium; as I have health issues right now especially, and then let us be first in the auditorium. That was very nice. I am also very happy that my brother-in-law, sister and niece took me on this U2ey experience . The IMAX screen, seating and sound is as good as it is made out to be. Once the film began it was instantly clear that everything they have been raving about in the news/media articles about the new 3D technology is true. This is not some cheesy thing looking like it is coming a little towards you once or twice in the entire film. I will tell you honestly right now that it actually looks like the guys from U2 are standing right in front of you, or next to you at your level-- playing and singing. I jest not. It is that good folks. Amazing in realness and even if you have been that fortunate fan who was up by the stage, or front row at a show...there is still much that U23D can show you.
I think the thing that I took away most of all from the movie experience is that you see all these details up close you couldn't possibly ever take in when the concert is going on. You see the Edge doing his lightning fingerwork and his foot keeping time. You see the strain...the physical strain it takes for Bono to sing all those trademark U2 notes. You see their smiles up close, you see all the placement of Larry's hands and his drumming in detail you can't even see at all in front of the stage. It is like you are another member of the band yourself.
Of course I loved seeing the talent that is The Edge! Of course I loved being the girl Bono sang to for once (Hey, it will most likely be my only chance!). Of course I loved seeing Larry's looks he exchanges between songs and the concentration on his face. Of course I loved Adam strutting that big bass guitar around like some sword. I loved all the things any longtime U2 fan would love. But here's the thing...not everyone in my party today was a huge longtime fan and they loved it as well.
I couldn't say anything negative even if I didn't love U2. As far as that forementioned rubbish about no social content being in the film...that isn't true. All the evidence of U2's convictions come through in this film loud and clear...from the war/anti war segment of Love And Peace Or Else, Sunday Bloody Sunday and Bullet The Blue Sky, right through to the scrolling of Human Rights, and on to Streets with its dream of equality that is brought out. If you love U2 find an IMAX and go see this film. If you don't love U2 find an Imax and go see U23D anyhow. That way we will most likely see you soon here at The Wall, and when U2 tours next. LittleVoice - 1/26/08 - Seeing this in 3D and at the IMAX in such a large scale was so incredible! The sound and picture were, of course, superior in quality and the concert was as flawless as U2 fans are accustomed to. I really liked that all four members were equally featured in the film because it seems like a lot of the time most of the attention goes to Bono and The Edge. I loved seeing more of Larry and Adam this time around. The setlist was good even though there were some songs I wish hadn't been cut. I think I speak for a lot of U2 fans when I say I would've sat through an entire concert length film. But, seeing this much was enough to stop my heart and wish for more. All in all, this film is definitely worth the watch. I wish I could see it again! DoriGreen7 - 2/10/08 - I just saw it. So close I could see the sweat drops, Larry's sticks flying, Edge's nimble fingers, Adam's determination, Bono's every subtle expression, every emotional aching tribute to Bono's Father, from the Father to the Fatherland.....Co-Exist, When Johnny Comes Marching Home Again...Safe!....Everyone has the right to exist without torture or slavery...Here she comes, Miss Sarajevo...AMOOOOREEEEEE! (God, what a voice, you were channelling Da and Pavarotti and putting every bit of Bonovox into it, too)..doves and hearts and MLK overcoming F-16's, bombs and Uzi's....singing One, Yahweh, Pride..... Letters, Words, Sentences, Lies but MUSIC and LIGHT and GOD breaking through...and that beating heart....thump, thump, thump,thump, thump, thump, thump...
