I don't have a daily commute at the moment, but when I did, I was driving about 40 miles one way to work to the downtown area. One time, I was behind a minivan in heavy traffic and we were at a stoplight uphill. When the light turned green, the minivan lurched forward like the guy had hit his gas hard and the back flew open. He had a stroller back there which flew out and hit my hood and window. LOL Nothing was damaged but he kept driving off like nothing had happened. Very strange. |

Once when I was driving to work early in the morning some years back; I got stopped at this old railroad crossing which at that time had no guard rail to come down, and the lights often would flash without a train being present. It was sort of a pain because you never would know if there actually was a train or not, and so you would have to just edge your vehicle out on the tracks. Anyway I edged out and way down the line I saw this old railroad car where the men pump it to move along. Like something out of the old west. It was coming real slow with two men pumping it. I had to wait until they passed and then cross to drive on to work. That was funny to me. |

What is your daily commute like? What is the weirdest thing you've seen on that commute? |

Lol Unhitched...that's wild! I don't think I've ever had anything weird happen to me on my commute. I need to think about this a bit and see if anything stands out. |

Just some dude kickin' it on the side of the highway lol I was like what the heck, forget double takes, I did like a 40 take lol |

I drive from the West end of my city to the southside each day and back, it's about 20 kms..or about 9 miles. I take the freeway which is being widened and paved this summer so it is always an adventure. Construction season... This morning the construction workers were gesturing in a slightly obscene way..(the universal sign for humping, with their arms moving back and forth at a 45 degree angle at their sides with their hips going back and forth...) to the dude driving the bobcat. I thought...do they realize they work out in the open and we can all see them? I laughed and laughed. Then a lady who was talking on her cell phone with her head cocked to the side to hold it between her shoulder and ear, and painting her nails...yes, painting her nails while driving almost ran into me. Crazy lady. My commute is always very entertaining. Not to mention life threatening! LOL! hj |
