I think driving on cell phones without a handsfree device should be outlawed. Drives me crazy to watch some nutty driver with their vision blocked with a phone to their ear, not pay attention to what's happening around them. What kills me is those idiots that conduct business while on their phones.  With handsfree, at least they wouldn't have their vision impaired by the phone and hand.

I agree, Jenn. I have seen so many people drive like lunatics while they're on the phone and they don't even seem to realize all the near-misses they've had either.

It should be against the law.  I am guilty of talking while driving though, but never on the freeway or on  busy main road.  If I have to call someone, I won't dial until I'm stopped, but it's not all the time, esp. because I have my kids with me, people who try to text msg while they are driving are insane!

Absolutly!!
I use the cell in the car but only if I've the road like in a parking lot. It's too easy to get distracted

I've never used my cell phone while driving. To me the phone is for emergencies and so forth and anyhow everyone can see missed calls or get voicemail or see last number that called your phone. There is no need to talk and drive.

When I got my cell phone it was in case the car broke down, or some sort of emergency.

I've been guilty of talking on the phone and driving, but I have been known to pull over to talk, too. I just can't do all of that at once. lol

Sometimes you need to get the phone, even when you're driving...especially if you have kids. I will always answer the phone if it's Jeremy, just in case there's a problem, even if I'm driving. My sister and brother-in-law got me a blue tooth for Christmas...that thing is awesome, I don't even have to pick the phone up while I'm driving and there's nothing obscuring my vision.

That's a good option, Jenn and also On Star where you can talk through the phone on your vehicles with just the press of the phone button.

Yeah. I've had On Star as an option with a vehicle before, but never used it.
